Can these be used on a guitalele, and tuned to eadgbe?

It generally is not a good idea to put acoustic (steel) guitar strings on a guitalele, as most ukuleles are built to take either nylon or flourocarbon strings. The tension needed to tune the steel strings to the correct notes EADGBe can rip the bridge off of the instrument. If you're looking to turn your guitalele into a travel guitar, it would be better to at least use nylon strings. D'addario does make a coated classical guitar string set.

Hard playing of mediums phospher/bronze.I get three days (9-10 hours) and lose tuneabilty.Rust is not an issue.Help?
