Tablecraft HJ124 Jadeite Glass Collection Butter Dish, Green

A nice useful dish a little on the small side - however I was shocked to receive it in a plain paper envelope, it's a miracle it arrived intact from the US. Surely glass items should be shipped carefully in a box (with bubblepack etc!)

More than anything, I wanted that authentic vintage look. This definitely is! So nice to NOT have to return something I buy off Amazon. Yay for me!! More and more I have to return stuff here because Amazon doesn’t seem to know anything about what they are selling. I wanted a vintage look, green milk glass-ish jadite, butter dish. And that’s what I got. Plus it’s heavy-duty. And a good price I could take away a star for crappy packaging, but since nothing was broken this time I’ll let it slide and give all the stars. Yay for you!

Very beautiful piece, will hold a lot of straws, an excellent price and unlike what another reviewer said, mine came in its own box and was in perfect condition. I had been waiting for the Cobalt one to go on sale, and it never did. I could not justify $36 for a straw holder just because I want to change my kitchen coloring. In the end I'm really glad I stucked my guns and got this one. It really is very very pretty. It's not skinny so it should hold a number of straws, I've had no problem lifting it out to get a straw. My only problem is is I'm almost out of straws so I can't say how many it will hold for sure. It is an excellent value for the price, the quality is great. I only wish it didn't have the design at the bottom and that it was more plain. I like simplicity but I must admit, the design at the bottom gives it a little charm. I haven't had a problem with dust getting in because it seals great. I can only say I highly recommend. And this straw holder is not opaque in any way. If you were worried about people seeing your straws, they will not. I don't know how well it would hold the taller ones. I use disposables because my special needs child has a tendency to chew on them and she is the only reason I need a straw holder. The ones I use are washable and heavy plastic but they do fit in there, I did try them. But I don't keep them in there. I don't own glass ones so I can't say whether they would fit or not. I've tried them and I hated them so I have none. If you were like me and waiting for the Cobalt to go on sale, it never did and honestly I think I'm probably happier with this one in the end because of price but also because I'm not seeing the straws through the sides anymore. You know it's a straw holder by looking at it, but you don't see the straws. I like that functionality.

This is a perfect size. The colour is great and it is well made.
