Slip the stopper out and open up the loop and slide it on. Slide the stopper down to prevent it from coming off his head. Taking it off is just the reverse; slip the stopper out and open up the loop and it's off. Far easier than clipping the fastener at the end of a regular leash to the loop. This is especially handy on the trail when other people or dogs come near and I have to put the lead back on.The only thing I don't like over our leather leads is the nylon can burn your hands if it slips while holding tightly.
