These are always helpful when painting my heavy metal porch dining table. The tableMust have 500 plus holes that need to be painted and these do the job. Years ago I used to do murals with these sponges and the job always looked great and they were easy to do without dealing with paint dripping which is what made me think of them for this present job. Also cheap and you throw away after 1 use.

These are great little disposable sponges. One problem I ran into using them is that the foam pulls away from the handle. The attaching mechanism inside the form is not great. I thought I'd get around it by glueing the ones I haven't used yet but they don't pull apart so they must be glued already. I guess the glue lets go after some time. When they pulled off, I cut the plastic fastener that goes inside the foam and bent one of them backwards to give a bit more resistance to pulling out. Worked to get me through the day.

High quality and great price used with oil paint no problem and help up nice.

These foam brushes hold up well provided they are not heavily loaded and used with a light hand. The one thing that I did notice is that you need to wash them and massage them through your fingers a bit before using because they tend to leave tiny little black fibers which is really noticeable when using light paint or poly on light paint. Maybe on typical wood stain you wouldn't notice it.
