Not just the cable part?** A: No, just the cable. We have plans to make a floating sensor for pools, but until then, you need to put the sensor where it will not be submerged. The alerts are great especially when temperature is critical for the animals in my tank, I get notified immediately when temp is outside of the set parameters. Since the base unit is hooked up to Internet, I was notified of a connection loss when I had a power outage when I wouldn't have otherwise known while I was at work. I bought a 2nd one for a daphnia tank and just got my 3rd one today for a brine shrimp setup. The only annoying thing I'd say about this is that you need a password every time you open the app. Not a big deal since I use a fingerprint but it would be great to bypass that. Which brings another point, I wrote to customer service about this and they were very quick to respond which was amazing.
