This product worked great until we got to the 6 month mark and then the gears started making a terrible sound, although it’s still dispensing food but it scares the cats. I would think it should last longer than 6 months. In fact we bought two at the same time and the other is still working well. Would like to return for a replacement.

Edit: changed my review to 1 star. It forgets the internet connection every 2-3 weeks. Have to set up as new to restore it. Got to the point where I am sick of messing with it. It didn't last a year. Having owned 3 of their products, the long term quality is not good and the software is weak. Won't buy anything else of theirs. Original review: I have had a regular Petlibro feeder for a year that works fine (my only real complaint with it is that the display is bright enough to light up a room at night), but decided to upgrade to the Granary with camera for when I am not home. As a feeder, it works fine and is a lot easier to set up a schedule than the non-WiFi version. Potion size can be a bit flaky, but it does what it needs to do. The problem is the online component doesn't work for me. At first I couldn't get the camera to work at all. I could set up a schedule and tell it to dispense food on demand, but the camera would not work no matter what I tried, despite that it was connected to WiFi and had a good signal. I started to check various setting on my router to see if the problem was there. I had Geo-blocking turned on for a number of countries. I turned off blocking for China and suddenly the camera worked. I then blocked traffic to China again and the camera continued to work. I don't think it was actually sending anything to China, it was just a quirk that must have triggered some sort of reset of the connection. So now the camera works when my phone is on my home WiFi network. The problem is, if I leave the house the Petlibro app will not work at all. It says there is a network error and I can't see the feeding schedule, dispense food, or see the camera. I went through my router settings and nothing has fixed the issue. No other device on this router have any problems, so I think the Petlibro feeder is the problem. (I am waiting for support to get back to me, so far they basically just gave me a list of things to try if WiFi isn't work, but it is.) It doesn't appear to be calling home or anything. It is sending out a constant stream of data to "MQTT", an IoT telemetry/message service, but it's very little data (not enough to be video). The app is annoying, it wants to sell you descant bags for the storage area that it says should be changed every 2 weeks. It has annoying countdown for when the bag needs to be changed in the app. It wants you to subscribe to their cloud service for videos as well. It works as a feeder, but everything else is unreliable.

Great slow feeder bowl! Really good quality and easy to clean. It helps my cat eat slower and prevents mess. Sturdy, the size is perfect, and it works exactly as expected. Would recommend!

works great when your at home, but when your traveling it is not dependable at all. As soon as I hit the plane I lost all camera connection and sound and I could not fix it. The internet connection was strong and the machine was not disconnected when I returned home, I ordered it with the camera just to have peace of mind when I was traveling that it was feeding my cat and that I could see her eat. I had no information at all during my travels other than that it said she had been fed. DISAPPOINTING!!!! I am trying to work with their customer support but so far have not gotten very far. They need to have a customer service phone line!

We bought three of these in 2022, and they work great. We bought two more at the end of 2024 when we adopted more cats. These feeders make it easy to give five cats their dry food in the mornings; giving them the same portions at the same time every day. The problem is that one of the feeders we bought last year is not keeping time correctly. It loses a few seconds of time every day, making it release food later than the other feeders. It’s been getting worse and worse over time, so we have to reset it every day now, which defeats the purpose of an automatic feeder. I don’t see a way to contact the seller about it since it’s after the window. I was hoping to get the product fixed or replaced since we’ve had it less than a year, and the other four we bought work great.

I bought a new one recently as I thought the first one was defective (had stopped using that one within weeks of receiving the product). Seems like a design flaw. Clogs constantly despite food size being within the stated guidelines (dental food, so not tiny pieces). Worked for the first couple of days, but not consistently. Portions that came out were also inconsistent. Sometimes only 2-3 pieces of food came out for what was supposed to be multiple portions.

Yesterday, I received a a Petlibro Model PLAF203. Assembly of the feeder was easy. Connection to WiFi made successfully. Feeding times set up with no problem. A new SanDisk 32 GB microSDHC UHS-1 Card was installed. Batteries were installed. The batteries and SanDisk card are NOT included. The Petlibro app was installed. The app says there is remaining Capacity of 29.8G on the card indicating the card is installed properly. A feeding schedule was set up. Scheduled feeding works. Manual feeding works both from the app and manually using the button on the feeder. I was able to add a meal call from my phone to the feeder. I feel the app is poorly designed. The sequencing of the included written instructions is poorly done. The significant problem I had is that the camera on the feeder did not work. When the app tries to retrieve a video stream I receive the following message “failed to retrieve video stream”. If I tap Screenshots on the app I receive this message “cutSaveErr” This is very frustrating. Also the talk button on the app does not work. I receive “operation failed” message. Customer service is only available by email. I consider this useless when I tried. This product was easily returned to Amazon for a full credit.

Device works great when it works. The video is an awesome feature to see cat when away from home. It feeds accurately and reliably. I dropped my original 3 star review down to 1 stars. When unplugging to fill with food or clean I would lose video connection. Even with keeping everything plugged in and adding an Uninterruptable Power Supply it still doesn't work reliably and maybe half the time a total reset fixes the issue. Their support is very slow at times but usually is helpful when they get back to me. I can't recommend this feeder unless you want to constantly tinker with it or if you are trying to find a device to deliberately test your patience.
