Race Face Ride Mountain Bike Seat Post (Black, 27.2x375-mm)

The seat post weighs 310 grams uncut and was a perfect fit in my department store hybrid bike. The adjustment for the seat takes some getting used to, but the 2 bolts seem easy to adjustment than the cheap department store bike seat possts. The seat post might be aluminum, but it is still quite heavy.

Great value, seems to be just fine, I've used two of these on two different builds. I usually use Thompson, but the point of my SS was efficiency and value and so far this thing works great and is strong without being a heavyweight. The rail clamping system is strong and simple.

I just installed this on my 2000 Kona Fire Mountain bike with a 27.2mm seat post. I'm 6'1" and had plenty of room to adjust the post. I was also able to set the angle of my seat properly. Durability seems good and parts were easy to install. I didn't scratch it at all. My old post got stuck so I had to use a plumbers wrench to get it off. I used a 31.8mm clamp with this.

Its a seat post. It does exactly what you want it to do. The finish is very durable and held up against harsh summer and winter.

Excellent value and quality. I have one on a Specialized Roll, one on a Surly Krampus, and another on a Pugsley. No regrets.

It's a seat post, what can I say? It appears to be strong enough to hold my tubby butt.

This works really well. I've got a few bikes, and it's amazing how much the seatpost diameters vary. I was having trouble with my old seat post slipping down. The old one is nearly .1mm smaller in diameter than this one, which has pretty minimal sliding clearance - i.e. it's pretty much a perfect fit. I mainly bought it because I really like the 2-bolt adjustment, but as a bonus it fixes the slip problem and looks better to boot.

Disclaimer: Have worked in a bike shop for 5 years. This seatpost is a pain to install, for how many options there are out there, go with a better dual-bolt mechanism.
