I purchased this soaker hose to water some trees we had planted. I was previously watering each tree with an open-ended hose on a slow trickle for about 30 minutes each and noticed a lot of run-off. I can run this soaker hose for about 15 minutes and the containment will be full of water without any run-off! I highly recommend watering trees this way. I feel like I'm getting more water to the tree in half the time. And in case you were wondering (like me), yes - the END CAP of the soaker hose is included. I have several of these. They are very good irrigation tools. The only issue I have had with them they are very hard to impossible to repair if damaged.

This hose is fantastic! It works over slight bumps and small hills unlike many other soaker hoses that need completely level ground. Of course, it's a soaker hose, so you need to allow the hose to fill using half-pressure then Reduce the flow! If not, you are bound to pop a water regulator two. It leaks a little on either end, but I find that the leaking isn't out of control, especially if I respect the need to maintain low water pressure. The best part, instead of me watering for about 40 to 60 minutes to cover the entire area and trying not to get the leaves of the tomato plants wet, I just turn it on and forget about it for about an hour or two. The water distribution and permeation into the soil is far better than what I can do with a spray hose or watering can.
