Great sturdy bowls!

These plates are far more durable that even the newer treated paper plates, You can cut a steak on them without cutting through the plate. I like that they are the smaller 9" rather than the 10 1/2", because it looks like you are getting more food...I am forever dieting. Plus the price is more reasonable in bulk, too. I am getting up in age myself, and sometimes I am just not able to wash so many dishes,.... so voila! Here is the answer. These are also great for sandwiches and chips, but I generally use the paper ones for that, since they are cheaper. Overall, these are excellent as disposable plates capable of standing up to harder usage than other types...and believe me, I have tried them all! I am pleased with this purchase, and I will probably order these again. Pros: These bowls are a lot cheaper than most other disposable paper bowls. They are better than styrofoam because you can use them in the microwave. Thick enough plastic to get the job done. A lot of bowls store easily in a small space. Cons: I just wish they were a little larger. I can live with that for such an awesome price. I filled a bowl to the top with water and then measured and it was almost exactly 1 and a half cups. Ok so they are not perfect, mine -each single one - had a small crease (not very noticeable), very nice plates overall it's what I wanted, it's super dense plastic no worries about soak-throughs! But not perfect and no disclosure about the crease so 4 stars. I found a good deal right now at Target for $6 /100, but not as nice as these, these are true plastic feel, no cardboard - so very sturdy and can handle a lot of food! Heck, you can even wash them if you like!!! What's not to Love!!!

The bowls were a nice heavy plastic that isn't overly flexible, so they hold up nicely. I gave 3 stars because the bowls got very hot when soup was put in them, and as a result, they couldn't be carried without causing mild burning. Because of this, I had to put the bowls on a plate to serve the soup at a church event where people were walking from kitchen window to table with the soup. I'd recommend the bowls for cold items -- ice cream, cereal, fruit, other foods that aren't hot, but I wouldn't recommend for hot foods.

Don't be confused these are very small bowls, I thought they were big enough to eat cereal out of, but they are more for dipping sauces and mixing/prepping ingredients in. They are sturdy and a great value though for 100 of them!

I used these for an event with high school students, no malfunctions and the event was a success. These are medium size bowls, so next time I may purchase a smaller size so that I do not have to distribute as much ice cream per serving.

The plates have a lot of defects like scratches and indents-which is not a big deal. But, on 1/2 the plates or so, there is this black stuff on them. Some of it will come off, and others won't. The first picture shows one of the bigger pieces of black stuff I tried to get off and it smeared like as shown. I am very disappointed. PLEASE do yourself a favor just buy a different set! They are not clean and who knows what else has been in contact with these bowls. Bottom line: DO NOT BUY THESE! Thank you for taking the time to read my review.
