Easy to read textbook on college physics. It has nice summaries throughout with pearls you should know. My only complaint is that it is difficult to remember what each symbol represents. It should be easier to find.

This text does not include the final "physics" chapters 37-42. If you don't need those, then this is the text for you. If you do need those, keeping looking for this exact textbook (picture, edition) with the fine print "with modern physics" for those final chapters.

Incredible! It's a used book that looks close to brand new! There's only a slight dog earring at the top corner. I performed a fairly through skim thru the pages and all seemed to be intact and I saw no markings, highlight, etc. I'm happy with this book and it was worth the price for a non-digital 1250+ page Physics book! I’m just going to review the actual content of the book and generally ignore the access code vs no access code issues in my rating. That said, I thought it would come with an access code and it didn’t, so it would have been helpful if that information was in the description. The book itself is very well written and teaches things in a very clear way. It is not a high-school level book so be prepared to read and re-read things to understand them. The concepts are taught in a very clear way as long as you have the math fundamentals. What I can’t forgive is typos in the answer key. I have wasted hours redoing my work only to discover that the answer key either has a small typo in the answer (7800N vs 780N) or that it accidentally gives the answer for another problem (ie. it says the answer is for #39 but is actually for #38). Typos in an answer key to me is ridiculous considering how many editions they’ve had to fix the issues. This also makes me always doubt the book for each answer I look up and defeats the purpose of having an answer key. Long story short, great content, crappy questions/answer key.

Purchased new and came with access code, hardback book and workbook. I recommend purchasing new books over renting or used because those books tends to come torn and are typically in shambles.

I have been looking for a physics textbook that explains the idea of voltage in a way that is more than just giving a formula. This is the best textbook that I have found. As I am working my way through this text, I have found other hidden gems too. While it might not be the best book out there, I have found it useful in explaining ideas that other books simply gloss over. I am impressed!
