Do these run true to size? I’ve read where some sized up a I/2 size and some bought their actual size.

I got a 1/2 size larger and they fit me perfectly. I think it’s just these types of shoes bc I also have a similar pair from Steve Madden that I had to go up 1/2 size

I have bunions and am concerned the strap will put pressure on the big toe which is painful? Does anyone know if it has any "play"?

It is tight the first wear but it will give a little. I don't know how much pressure it'll put on a bunion, though.
