Excellent for adding weight
A little heavier than I thought it would be which is a good thing. My standard plates fit perfectly so it's does exactly what it supposed to do. Add weight to your exercises perfectly and safely. Highly recommend if you've gotten stronger and need to add weight.

Another great addition for the TotalGym XLS
Another great addition for the TotalGym XLS. This bar is hollow. The ends are fitted with a plastic cover at each end. When I got my bar, I noticed that one of these plastic covers was loose. I had to pull it out and re-fit it - then hit it with the palm of my hand. Have had no problems with it since. Have used this bar twelve times since it arrived and could not be happier.

It fits.
I own a Total Gym Apex G5. I ordered this despite the fact that the description does not specifically state that this fits the Apex. It does. The only thing I dinged this product for is the price. Thirty six dollars is an absurd amount for a hollow steel bar that's 30' long and an inch wide. I only ordered it because I was unsure if there was something special (or even magical) about this bar. There isn't. Never-the-less, if you want to only use Total Gym products on your Total Gym, this would be your best (only) option. I cant really knock its quality though. It seems fine for the purpose.
