Not sure what had happened to my previous G-Drive, just stopped working , but it was old and probably full. I needed a new backup device for my MacBook. Plugged it in, laptop initialised it automatically and about half an hour later the back up was complete. I don't intend dropping it, but if I do, I like its protective rubber casing. Before ordering I was careful to select the model and size I needed, eg. USB, not SSD or Thunderbolt, and 1T. If it lasts as long as the other one, i will be happy.

Great for use with Apple Mac Time Machine backups. More or less set itself up. Has the advantage of having an old fashioned spinning disc for storage which should prove a safer long term back up solution than a solid state disc.

It is quite neat and compact making it easily portable. It also has more than enough memory for my requirements.

The set up was really easy and not as heavy as you’d think. I read reviews saying it took people ages to compartmentalise the hard drive. In all honesty I went onto U-Tube and managed it in 5mins. There was also a comment saying it was on the heavy side… As a keen cyclist this almost put me off buying it. Its not that heavy and I don’t even notice it in my back pack when commuting to work.

Feels like it will take a bit of a knock though I aim not to do this, works fine with my MacBook and Linux laptop too which is a bonus.

I did my research before purchasing. I was looking for a hard drive for my MacBook Pro so that I could off load some photos. SanDisk I thought was a reputable company, and that is the main reason I decided to purchase this make. I am not too tech savvy, and needed a hard drive I could plug in and GO! After plugging in, I wasn't going anywhere. How the heck do you get the photos and files to the hard drive? After some playing around (dragging and not dropping, copying files to the desktop and trying to export photos), I was getting nowhere. Perhaps the drive needed formatting - but alas it wasn't interested in that. There is NO booklet to tell you what to do, and after Googling the product, I found there was nobody helpful out there in the web world. After a chat with Amazon we agreed to give up and start the return process. Onto another brand... and fingers crossed.

Ottimo hd. Veloce anche se non è ssd silenzioso e la connessione usb c lo rende ottimo.

No funciona con Windows ha probado en dos ordenadores con versión 7 y 10 , y en ninguno de los dos lo reconoce . Es una pena porque se ve muy robusto pero si no me sirve lo devuelvo
