Flex Protective Performance Tape

great for bowling, when your fingers hurt from playing...these protect the skin and stick well

I have used different types of tape on my thumb for bowling for several years. I used a less expensive product and it worked fairly well. However it could sometimes be diffcult to cleanly get the tape off the backing material and the tape left a residue on my thumb. I ran out of tape and the previous brand was no longer available, so I decided to try a new brand and I chose Motiv. Yes, it's more expensive, but it met all my requirements and I will choose it in the future. Here are the reasons I like this tape so much. First, it comes in a plastic container that doesn't get crushed as easily in my bowling bag. Next the tape is a good size for my thumb and it is easy to get off of the backing material without bunching up and sticking to itself. I found the tape easy to apply and it flexed nicely as I bent my thumb. It easily lasts four games for me and is still in perfect condition. Lastly, it did not leave a residue when I removed it. Since it was summer when I got this tape, I chose the fast release (thin thickness). My bowling alley can get warm with the heat and my thumbhole can get tight. This did the job and I highly recommend it.

I get a callous on my thumb if I don't have tape. It's not any of my balls, it's because of how I throw. Tape was the solution. After a few weeks the callous was gone. Initially tried other brands but they come off too easily. This motiv tape stays put through a whole tournament. The 'speed' of the tape is not as important to me - I've tried them all - I'll do the med or the fast as it feels as much like my thumb without the tape but it does make a minor difference to sensitive bowlers.

So far so good. Used it for the first time today and it stays on my thumb nicely. The only issue I have is it’s hard getting the plastic coating off the sticky part of the tape. Otherwise it’s a great product. Will definitely be purchasing this again.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I wear this tape every single time i bowl. Cuts down on calluses and creates a consistent and predictable release. I will always carry this in my bowling bag.

My daughter uses it during the bowling tournament preventing the blisters or thumb skin burns and she loves it and she will use it again. Thumbs up!

Love these bowling tape. The friction is just right with the grey tape. I was previously using the extra smooth black ones and this is just the sweet spot.
