This nailer is for fastening various types of pre-punched hole metal connectors to wood. We do not recommend using this tool to drive into concrete. **Q: Is there an adjustment for this gun to shoot 1-1/2" nails so that the nail tip protrudes?** A: There should be a plastic guide that the nails pass through when loading the gun at the rear of the nail rail. Slide it up or down for 2-1/2" or 1-1/2" nails. They both load into the rail at different heights so that the nail tip protrudes just enough to get it though the metal connector hole before you fire. **Q: Will this drive Simpson strong tie fasteners inch and a half and 2 1/2 inches** A: I’ve only used the hitachi nails so far. I would not use these for the nails that go in the sides as I feel they are too short. They are great for bases and caps going straight into beams and posts. They’re great because they hold 50 nails. Whereas the other model is smaller, but only holds 25. **Q: Would you guys recommend the long or short magazine? Used the short once and had to reload a bunch but “standard” looks real long in photo.
