Perfect for use with an old style, non-smart TV. My old flat screen 25" still worked perfectly, but could not be used for streaming or viewing videos from phone/tablet. This hooked up to my USB C port on my phone, the to the 3 RCA type inputs on the TV. Signal came up within a few seconds, and I was watching all my streaming apps and videos on my flat screen TV. Perfect synch between old and new technology!

Paid for two day shipping and cable doesn't work what a scam never purchase from here again I can't even return the cable, I'm elderly and can't return the cable easily Amazon says ups will pick ip for 10 more dollars what a nighrmare. Just throwing money away this is abusive. Almost 40 dollars on a cable that doesn't function and I can't return, what a curse. I want to refund but they require I travel deep I to city to return a stupid cable. I want to die. Please refund AMAZON please. Arguing with family over getting this cable to function, this sucks

I bought this to output video and audio from my laptop's Thunderbolt (USB-C) port to an old CRT's composite input. It works very well; you can use it just as if you had plugged in a monitor. I suspect that many of the users that couldn't make the cable work had one of two issues: * First, the pictured USB-A is *required* to power the device. You don't have to plug it into the device you are outputting AV from, but you need to plug it into something. It is not an alternative AV input. The AV only goes through the USB-C. * Second, this cable can't pull AV from something that doesn't produce AV. If you are using this with a phone, please use Google to make sure your phone can output AV via USB-C. The only issues I have are that the adapter gets hot very quickly, and that Windows can be finicky about outputting 4:3 without adding black bars because it seems to assume the cable wants a widescreen input. I was able to make it work after fiddling with the display settings, though.

I have a 2006 honda odyssey with a Sony overhead dvd monitor. I plugged it in to mirror my phone so that my kids can see Netflix. I could hear the sound but it failed to work. I will try it on an old TV i have hopefully it works there.

It actually worked! Our 2011 X5 has an aftermarket rear screen setup. The interface and its ability to play DVDs and files from a USB drive are, to say the least, painful. To the point the kids just use tablets and I was going to remove the system. I hooked this adapter up to the aux-in, and it worked instantly. On my Samsung phone, it recognized the external screens and opened Samsung DeX. Zero issues, even though the screens are SD and not HD. Another useful tip: If you use the VLC player to play video from your phone, it allows you to send the video to the external screen while still using your phone normally. So, it only mirrors the screen if you want it to—at least on a Samsung phone.

Funktioniert leider nicht, weiß aber nicht ob es an meinem Gerät liegt. Der Stecker wird nur sehr warm.

Exactly what I wanted! Got it for a 2009 Delica D5 I just bought. Did have a aux port or bluetooth capabilities. This the next best thing. Can use it to play my music and play my kids show on the screens. USB C to connect to my Iphone 16 Pro and a USB A to charge thr phone.
