Complete Original Denture Adhesive Cream, 0.75 oz

I bought this for mom's loose dentures. Works just fine! plus she's happy and that's always a win.

Today is the first day I used this and it has held my dentures in place all day. A few days later, still holding all day. I love that it has a smaller applicator so you don't get excess, BUT the cap has a piece to it that inserts into the tube. So when you put the cap on, it pushes the cream in and it gets all over the inside of the cap, and it sticks out farther than the cap, so when you try to put the cap down, it wobbles. This is a small tube which is great for traveling, especially for TSA security.

Best adhesive for my taste. Doesn’t clump up. No aftertaste and very effective at holding partials and dentures in for 6-8 hours of firm hold. Easy to remove after.

After I got my top plate and only stuck with powders, I never thought that I would use paste, now that I have a lower denture, I feel the paste works best. And this lasts a good 10 hours. I order it on a monthly basis.

I have a temporary crown for two weeks. It fell off the first night, I went back to the dentist to have them re-cement but didn’t want to have to do that every day for two weeks. I’ve used this Fixodent twice to reattach it. Pros - Easy application, cleaned out the temp crown and squeezed a tiny bit of fixodent into it, spread it around with a q tip - It works. It’s not a permanent solution, but it will keep the crown in for at least a day or two (and then it usually pops off because I do something like floss aggressively) - Affordable- much better solution for me than constantly driving back and forth to the dentist Cons - It hurts? I am 90% sure this is due to the natural tooth under the crown being shaved down and sensitive. But when I apply the Fixodent to the crown and then hold it to my tooth, for the next 10-20 minutes, my tooth aches. It’s not the worst pain I’ve ever felt, but it’s definitely a bit unpleasant. Just wanted to share this in case someone else experiences it and panics. It may feel a little achy for a few minutes while it sets, but that definitely goes away and then there is no pain. I’m aware that I’m using this with a crown and not as its intended purpose, so this probably isn’t relevant if you’re using this for dentures. :)

I have a bottom denture that does not connect to anything. It just floats in my mouth. So I need an adhesive that will hold them in place for hours at a time. I always use Fixodent, and it works well, but there are times when I am away from home and need to refresh. The small tube fits in my pocket so it is always handy. One problem, after carrying the tube in my pocket day after day, the tube gets squished. I found a small, round, hard plastic container with a top that seals well and meant for jewelry. The fixotent tube slides into this with no problem, and with the container being hard plastic, the Fixodent tube is protected.

Very expensive ! The tube top is an excellent idea. Wondering why it’s only in travel size? Polident is less expensive very good but not quite as good as Fixodent.
