Can't see a safe way to take power cord out of side vent. Should it be back vent?** A: I’ve just got mine also. I undid side vent but have no gap to pull plug out and replace vent so removed back vent but the plug lead is already threaded into a hole I’m not able to replace the vent again with the plug out. As my current domestic fridge freezer in the garage has cold condensation on the outside ?** A: It does specify that it is suitable for outbuildings and I have it in a detached garage-although my Russell Hobbs model is not the same one as in the picture.. Many makes of freezer specify they are not suitable for outbuildings but I have found that Iceking, Logic and Russell Hobbs are ok outside. I have 2 of each of these makes outside without any running or reliability problems. (Russell Hobbs and currys Logic freezers appear to be mechanically the same). However, they all do collect condensation on the outside. **Q: Did anyone get any help regarding how to get the mains plug out as it’s been threaded out of the freezer only to be threaded back in again! Not wanting it to look like a freezer, we got it in black. It’s very quiet, easy to clean and has a sliding basket. Good capacity yet compact. I shopped around and this was a very very good price, I’m very pleased with it and would highly recommend. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent value *by A***R on 21 September 2022* This chest freezer is excellent value for the price, we found it light enough to move into position but sturdy enough not to rock or wobble as some freezers do!, the lid is nice and solid and heavy enough to form a nice airtight seal, the lid also stays in the position you put it, so no more struggling with your arms full of stuff to put in it, it looks great too, we would highly recommend this chest freezer, you won't be disappointed, we also like the idea of a drainage plug on the front, making it easier for us short people to defrost it when needed! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Power cable hard to reach *by S***Y on 9 October 2023* I bought this freezer to replace a larger larder freezer that was failing. Delivery went smoothly, and I have had it running for several weeks and find it a convenient size for two people, and easy to use. The area under the basket is good for fragile items, and the basket is good for things I need every day, and keeping freezer blocks in.I do find it a little on the loud side, as reviewers have reported. I do like the choice of black or white, and my black freezer looks very smart.The cabinet was easy to move empty, so easy in fact that until it was full I had to get used to how light the lid is and how easy to lift.The only problem was the power cable. You need to pull off a small plastic cover inset on the large one on the freezer back, the install video shows it popping off easily with finger pressure. Ours was so tight the whole freezer back was bending a worrying amount and the clips were starting to break just pulling it with my fingernail. I finally removed it with a spudger (case opening tool) but a flat blade screwdriver would work. Start at the right side, push it between the back and inset plastic along the top edge and twist till the clip pops, work along till they're all free then you should be able to pull the panel off easily. If not repeat for the bottom edge.The install video was sent by customer support at Russell Hobbs, who were prompt and helpful.
