Studio-Quality Sound with Wireless Freedom
The Audio-Technica ATH-M50xBT2 Wireless Headphones are outstanding if you want professional-grade audio performance combined with the convenience of Bluetooth. These headphones keep the well-known sound signature of the classic M50x studio monitors while adding modern wireless features and improved connectivity. From a technical standpoint, the headphones use 45 mm large-aperture dynamic drivers, which deliver excellent clarity, strong midrange detail, and controlled low-frequency response. The sound profile is very balanced and accurate, making them great not only for casual listening but also for music production, mixing reference, and critical listening. Key technical highlights: • 45 mm drivers provide detailed and dynamic audio reproduction • Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity for stable wireless performance • Support for high-quality codecs like AAC and LDAC for higher-resolution wireless audio • Multipoint pairing allows connection to two devices simultaneously (for example a phone and laptop) • Excellent battery life—over 60 hours of playback on a full charge • Quick-charge capability that provides hours of listening from a short charge The build quality is also impressive. The headphones feel sturdy and professional, with comfortable ear pads and a design that seals around the ears for good passive noise isolation. Controls on the ear cup are intuitive, and the built-in microphone works well for calls or online meetings. Another feature I really appreciate is that the headphones can be used both wirelessly and with a cable, making them versatile for studio setups, travel, or everyday listening. Overall, these headphones deliver excellent sound accuracy, long battery life, and strong connectivity, making them a fantastic choice for musicians, producers, content creators, or anyone who wants studio-level audio quality in a wireless format.

Great bluetooth on-ear headphones
Sound quality: very good Battery life: excellent Comfort: very comfortable, but high headband clamping pressure Build quality: excellent Portability: pretty good I had my eye on these headphones for a while, but never pulled the trigger, as they are not cheap as far as these type of headphones go. I will be using this almost exclusively for media viewing on my tablet at night. I also wanted something semiportable for occasional travel. I will sometimes use them for music, although I own a high-end audio system for that purpose. I have 2 pair of Focal headphones for serious listening sessions. The sound quality is very good, although I do wish they had a little more volume to them. If you wanted that, you'll need to run them in wired mode and use a dedicated headphone amp. The bluetooth works very well, and the app allows equalization among other settings. It is not necessary to use the app to use the headphones. The bluetooth pairing was fast and painless. They are extremely comfortable. The material of the earcups and headband are high-quality. I find the headband clamping pressure to be higher than I like, but the headphones are so comfortable that I don't think it's going to be an issue. They are also comfortable while wearing eyeglasses. The joints appear to be well-designed and strong. I usually do not buy headphones that are foldable for this reason, as they just don't last, even when treated gently. I don't think that is the case here. Unlike some of the better bluetooth headphones out there, the control buttons are placed so that they're actually usable. Other high-end brands that I've owned had terrible ergonomics in this regard. The battery life seems excellent. After 1 week of daily use, the battery charge has hardly changed from a full charge. I bought a pair that were Amazon reconditioned. They appeared lightly used, but not in like-new condition. The product description made it seem like they were either open-box or unused and repaired. The only reason that I'm not complaining is that I got these for a very good price. So far, so good. Recommended.

Studio-Quality Sound with Wireless Freedom — Absolutely Love These!
I don’t usually leave reviews, but these headphones deserve every bit of praise. The Audio-Technica ATH-M50xBT2 absolutely exceeded my expectations. SOUND QUALITY: The audio is simply incredible — rich, detailed, and balanced. The bass is tight and punchy without being overwhelming, mids are clear and natural, and highs are crisp without harshness. I can pick up nuances in my music that I never noticed before. Whether it’s casual listening, mixing, or watching movies, these deliver studio-quality sound. BLUETOOTH PERFORMANCE: Seamless connection with my devices (both Android and Windows PC). The low latency is noticeable — movies and YouTube videos stay perfectly in sync, and I haven’t experienced a single dropout. Plus, multipoint pairing is a great bonus. COMFORT: Super comfortable even during long listening sessions. The ear pads are soft and the headband has just the right amount of clamping force. I can wear them for hours without fatigue. BATTERY LIFE: Battery life is phenomenal. I get days of use on a single charge, and USB-C charging is fast and convenient. BUILD QUALITY: Solid and durable — typical Audio-Technica craftsmanship. They feel like a professional tool, not a cheap plastic toy. OVERALL: If you’re looking for wireless headphones that sound like true wired studio monitors, look no further. The ATH-M50xBT2 hits that rare sweet spot of pro audio quality with wireless convenience. Highly recommended — one of the best purchases I’ve made this year!

They’re solid headphones, but maybe not $200+ solid.
They’re great headphones and don’t have any issues, but I do have a couple nitpicks. First, I read tons of reviews from all over the web and most said these are very loud, to the point of possible discomfort for some. They’re loud, but no more than average. Next, once the battery gets low-ish, the Bluetooth connection cuts in and out like a skipping CD. That’s normal since there’s not enough power, but it happens before the low battery alert. Otherwise they’re clean and clear and very comfy.

Very pleased with these bluetooth headphones
These headphones are very nice sounding, comfortable and have great battery life. I am super-pleased with these. Some headphones can be too bass heavy or the highs can be too high which can be irritating and nerve-racking, but these are quite neutral which is a good thing in my opinion. I have an iPhone and downloaded their app and it has an equalizer where you can adjust the sound to better suit your personal preference. I did adjust the equalizer and I really like it better than the default setting, so I recommend that you check the app out. These are not noise-cancelling headphones but the padding is pretty thick and does block a lot of noise. I have a very loud air condition unit outside my window and this really does a nice job blocking out most of the noise. I've had these for almost two years(bought in April 2022) and use them almost every day and they are holding up very well. For the record, I don't throw them around, etc. I think these would fit most people's heads. I have a large head and can expand them to fit me fine. These are not the lightest headphones, but I think they are comfortable and I wear them hours at a time. I wear them inside so I never get too hot. They are over-the-ear headphones so they might get warm but for me it hasn't been an issue. I might occasionally take them off for a minute or crack the seal to let some air in. Privacy note: They do have an option in the app where you can turn off data sharing. It did surprise me to find out that Audio-Technica collects information about my usage, but other companies do this too, like Bose. The Audio-Technica app does say the data collected is not personally identifiable. Anyway, I just thought I would mention this for those of you who are privacy minded.

Great Sound, Not so great bluetooth profile
The sound is phenomenal... they do have issues connecting to bluetooth. On some devices, you ave to forget the headphones EVERY TIME you are finished using in order to connect again. My iPad insists on this every time and tells me I have to 'forget' the device in order to reconnect. Same issue with my HiFi Walker H2 MP3 player... have to delete profile and search for new device every time. Not a HUGE deal, but the only device I have ever owned where this is required... the incredible sound is the only reason that this method of connecting is acceptable.

Great sound, starting to show age after 3 years
I’ve had these headphones for over three years, and they still sound great. They’re lightweight and only start to feel uncomfortable after very long sessions without breaks (around five hours for me). The ear cups are just now starting to show their age, but replacements are easy to find online. If I could change anything, I’d love the option to use USB-C for audio and have more control over how they auto-connect to Bluetooth devices. They sometimes connect to random devices in my house, play the confirmation tone, then disconnect from that new device, and play the disconnect confirmation tone once more—briefly interrupting whatever I’m listening to, which is pretty annoying. That said, they’ve been durable, reliable, and I can easily see myself using them for another three years. I’d only replace them if I lost or damaged them.

"Like New", except covered in dandruff
I purchased a renewed pair which was listed as "Like New", which I assumed meant the packaging would be damaged, maybe some scratches. The headphones I received were COVERED in dandruff and ear wax. I really wished I could have at least tried them to see if I wanted to order another pair, but honestly was too disgusting. Update: ordered a new pair, and I love them. I am small and worried these would be too loose, the smallest setting fit is decent. Some fatigue after wearing for multiple hours, but I think that would happen with any headphones of this size. Call quality is good, I got these in part to make hands free calls, and have heard that I sound even clearer than when I make a normal phone call. Sound quality is excellent! Comparable to the quality of a wired set. I didn't think I was a sound snob, but I I previously tried the Jabra 85h and the sound quality was atrociously crunchy, and made music unlistenable. I do some audio editing for film and I think the ATH-M50xBT2 will do well, especially since they can be wired if needed. It was very important to me that these have no active noise cancellation- for me, ANC causes unpleasant pressure and nausea. The Jabra 85 forcibly turned on ANC for all calls even when you have ANC switched off, very annoying. I also eliminated Sony XM4/5 from my options also because I've read their ANC is on automatically each time they turn on. The ATH-M50xBT2 cans are large and enclose my ears for excellent passive noise cancelling. As an added bonus, no ANC means the battery life can be MUCH longer than competitors (haven't tested personally, but makes sense). Battery life is important to me, I was very reluctant to get yet another electronic that I have to charge. I like that these can be used wired even if the battery is dead. I like that there are physical buttons, and an on/off indicator light (Jabra 85h turned off by twisting the cans and there was no visual indication of on/off, very confusing and easy to leave on unintentionally). I specifically wanted no gesture or tap controls, which I find hard to control/easy to trigger. Sometimes simpler is better. All in all, excellent quality and design for the price.
