used it to cushion a massive 200lb in-wall DIY subwoofer from the surrounding structures. worked perfectly by applying pieces to the floor of the space as well as against the studs and whatnot.

This product does exactly what is claimed. I used it to isolate all of the connections for the hydronic heating system in my house which had been attached to plywood covering the utility room wall and abutting a bedroom. Even with insulation in the wall and drywall, the vibration sound was amplified by the plywood diaphragm, so I cut pieces of this foam to fit between each mount and the plywood. The sound reduction as a result of the vibration dampening was much better than I had hoped, and the material was very easy to use in this fashion. The sound on the bedroom side has been reduced to a very tolerable level. Great material for a variety of purposes.

I have two Cerwin Vegas E-712s... they move the curtains. I have them on the stone base of the fireplace. They were literally shaking things apart. Got these pads after trying a few other products and being disappointed, thus shipping them back.... Nothing is going to tame these bass monsters, but the pads reduced the floor quakes by maybe 75 to 80%. I am a happy camper. Yeah they are salty. What works I mean really works and isn't. : ) Use common sense in the application and the product is worth a first time home run. If you feel the need to thrift, its your dime and time...

Saved my sanity - the neighbor upstairs had a fan that was generating a low frequency vibration. Yoga mats did not do anything. This thing removed 100% of the vibration. It's pretty much magical

I bought this pad to cushion hammer blows from a 26-oz deadblow hammer on a granite block on a workbench. Smashing things with a hammer makes a lot of noise and vibration - vibration which is transmitted through the workbench directly to the apartment below mine. WHAM! WHAM! WHAM! Yes, I am THAT neighbor. =) I had been using a bath towel folded into fourths to cushion the blows, which worked perfectly fine. This pad was a substitute for the bath towel. The pad does work, but not nearly as well as the sad-looking towel. I would say that the pad drops the "WHAM!" factor by about half. The bath towel almost totally isolates the vibration. So sad. For the price, I was expecting more magic. A 1" thick pad, or more, would probably have been a better choice for me.

I bought this product to place under the legs of my air compressor. The legs cut right through the material. If the legs were flat on the bottom instead of having an edge to them, the material likely would have held up for a long time. I think that for items with a flat bottom surface area, this material would work very well to isolate vibration.

I purchased this to address a problem I had with a boutique sized Bass Guitar Amp Head vibrating right off the speaker cabinet it was sitting on. Even at extremely high volumes, this product did the trick and the Amp Head has never vibrated off the cabinet since (still true almost 3 years later).

I used this as an isolation base below a new pool pump. The pool equipment at my house is located right outside the master bedroom wall and anytime the old pump switched on the thrum was easily noticeable. It was something you could tune out if the pump was on 24/7, but distracting with each switch on. The pump was an older single speed model, so I upgraded the pump to a variable speed model and cut this pad to fit below it. The new pump has less vibration to begin with so its may not be a fair comparison. This product does seems to help. You can place your hand on the pump and feel its vibrations, but less so on the concrete pad. Certainly on the lowest two speed settings the pump is inaudible inside, which was my goal. I am not sure of this product's durability outside with pool water so I will update this if there is degradation.

I have a rare nerve disorder and thanks to Sorbothane I was able to use my riding lawnmower and cut my grass for the first time in 7 years!!! I will be ordering more.

Cut in square pièces of one inch by one inch. Put under my hi-fi speakers and I believe it improves sound.

Used it to isolate my vinyl record player and other pieces of my modular sound system from vibration. Easy to cut the sheet into smaller pieces using a very sharp pair of scissors. Excellent results.
