I’m must say though, it does fade and the fabric loosens. What ever it’s made out of will wash off, but for cooking and oil stains it would be fine. I just wouldn’t it dry it every time you wash it. Pockets are convienent for pens and other tool you might need on the fly (muddler, wine key, speed opener) and good for keep those tips safe. The straps are detachable so when you pop the apron in the washer no worries about them getting tangled. If you dont feel like throwing it in the washer hot lighly soapy water and a spong will do a quick job. I am very pleased with this product. My next one maybe a customized one!
