Mine was Very Strong for it's Size
Because of that I would recommend that kids of any age should be taught and ... Parents: Neodymium Magnets of any size are Fragile and strong. No matter what size they create a strong magnetic field in that two magnet will jump many inches to attact another magnet and SNAP together. The Snapping together is was generally causes the magnets to break or chip. Because of that I would recommend that kids of any age should be taught and supervised when playing with any of the neodymium magnets. Children under 7 should not play at all with or be able to get to these magnets. When magnets have a lift or force of 20 lbs or more can start to pinch fingers and 50 pound or greater can break small bones. These 1" Cube magnets have about a 95 lbs force and can do some serious damage to hands if they are allowed to snap them. Strong magnets should never be seperated by bare hands. Magnets are fun but you need to know how to respect them. Even this size magnet could be dangerous if not respected. Learn how to handle magnets first as these are not toys. I am rating these magnets because they do and meet what they are "Super Strong Neodymium Magnets of one of the highest Grades out today N52. Please be careful and do your homework before you purchase any rare earth magnets Have fun but BE SAFE FIRST !!!! If these two magnets happen to get together with out the plastic seperators do not try to seperate them by hand research online How to separate Super strong magnets safely. Due to many customers breaking so many Neodymium magnets the manufacturers have been making these magnets to weaker and weaker grades . So instead of making N52 they are trending lower closer to N42 or less. In fact the best option is to contact the seller and ask what the N Grade is of their magnets and or the pull force to give you an Idea of what you are purchasing. I have purchased Neodymium magnets of various shapes and sized. And most of the sellers have given out directions/videos as to how to handle these types of magnets but for the general buyer it never seems to make much difference. I still see many reviews claiming the sellers products are too brittle and break too ease. When the problem is 99.9% of the time the two magnets SNAPPED together and either broke in half or chipped the edges. I have worked and played with the magnets many times and I have made the mistake of getting two magnets too close together and they just fly out of your hands. I also know every time I was the reason the magnets broke and is not the fault of the seller. So be careful and enjoy your magnets. Sellers make sure you are correctly advertising the N grade and/or pull force.

Super strong fun to play with.
Incredibly strong magnets. I use one when I am panning for gold on Cali rivers. It separates iron based minerals out of my gold pan which makes panning much easier.

Strong!
These hold!

So great for our LEGO sculpture
Wow. So strong. Perfect for our LEGO creation. We used it to hold our “arms” onto our huge build. Yes, it was on an axle but we needed additional strength to hold the weight and build them into the structure. Perfect! Bought 4 - 2 sets for each side

Powerful, dangerous magnets - tips on safe handling need to be included somewhere
These are powerful magnets. I only really needed one but it was just as cheap to get two. The danger/warning e-mail that you receive when you buy this product is very important to read and understand. I applied foam and electrical tape to both of these magnets to protect them from each other and from other magnetically sensitive items. The scissors I used to cut the foam have blades made of steel and therefore they stuck to the magnets a couple of times (they were the least magnetically sensitive cutting device I had on hand). Useful tips: Don't try to separate the magnets right away. Figure out how to keep them from smashing into each other and shattering, ruining your purchase and possibly injuring you. They will react to each other at just 1 foot away on smooth surfaces. Surfaces with high friction can help limit reaction distance. Once you separate these magnets, it is extremely difficult to keep them at bay if they come in close proximity again. To initially separate the two magnets, locate the edge of a firm surface such as the edge of a counter top and firmly push downward on BOTH magnets. Once separated, immediately move one magnet to a safe zone free of metal objects. You might find it useful to use the included bubble wrap to roll up one of the magnets while you work with the other one. Wrapping each magnet in foam and electrical tape will help keep them from shattering if they do smash into each other. If you or someone else has a pacemaker or other sensitive internal medical device, do not purchase these magnets and use a safer alternative. Have a plan in place just in case these snap back together, shatter, and injure you. Wearing safety goggles and work gloves is a must while handling these. They may be small, but the force they exert isn't anything to mess around with. I am using one of these for correct alignment in a blind zone in a construction project and I'm pairing it with a couple of much smaller neodymium magnets that I have on hand. One of these bigger magnets is enough to pull the smaller magnets around but with far less combined force than using both of the big magnets. NOTE: Combining magnets like these will increase the gauss rating. So if you need an even more powerful (and dangerous) magnet, just combine 2 or 3 of these 1" cubes in sequence. At some point, though, it becomes much safer to use electromagnets where the magnetic force can be turned on and off. Stay safe and out of the hospital! Docked one star because none of the instructions provided in the description on Amazon nor the e-mail from the seller include the basic safe handling tips I gave above. The instructions just say that these magnets are dangerous, what the dangers are, to wear safety equipment, and that these are classified by the FAA as a hazardous material thus requiring ground shipping. While I know how to handle these magnets safely, I see a lot of the 1-star reviews revealing that users are having accidents right out of the box. The seller would do well to include all of the safe handling tips above -somewhere-. There is nothing in the box but the two magnets, their plastic separators, and bubble wrap. You are expected to know what to do. Since the seller already sends a separate e-mail, the simplest solution would be to include the safe handling tips in the e-mail itself - which would cost them nothing extra to do and simultaneously reduce their legal liability.

Perfect - Extremely Strong Magnets
This was exactly what I was looking for. I use very strong magnets to adhere climbing branches to the glass of my chameleon's vivarium. I had been having trouble finding magnets strong enough to provide sufficient tension through 1/4 inch glass. These are perfect. Use some common sense with this item. It is as described and very powerful. Powerful enough to be dangerous if you're not exercising common sense. These magnets are very brittle and will smash into multiple pieces if you are careless. I immediately wrapped mine in electrical tape once I received them, to try and prevent any chipping. You could fairly easily cut your fingers with these if you're being careless, and probably cause pretty severe damage to a computer. Definitely keep these away from pets and children.

Serious Magnets
I assumed that going in, but still almost tore a hole in my shirt trying to get it out when it got stuck among these and the intended foam piece from the packaging. Got some decent arm and grip strength, but tearing them away from that foam was a slight ordeal. Perfect 5/7. I'm off to fry some drives.

Broke immediately
Broke on first use after putting on a metal table as gently as possible. Should be more durable for how powerful it is because it sucks itself down with incredible force. Watch your fingers, for real
