Can it handle higher temp if you wrap it more than a few times around a wire?

I didn't buy the Red Matte tape but I have bought a multi color pack of electrical tape from Amazon. While I can't speak for the red tape I found the stuff I bought to be thin and cheap. When I opened the plastic wrapper on the tape it had a very toxic outgassing, I threw the tape away and went to the local hardware store and bought higher priced brand name electrical tape. Sorry I can't answer your question directly but if the listed price is too good to be true its too good to be true. Amazon seems to have lately been carrying a lot of garbage and counterfeit goods. Buyer beware.

How does this compare to the major brands (3M/Commercial Electric)?

For us, it has been a waste of money. I will not stick to itself, much less to most anything else.

Can i use this 2 tape drum sticks like wrap them
