FIFA 14 - Xbox One

Let me first disclose that I am not a hard core gamer. I have owned various consoles going back to the Atari 2600 but will never have an all night session and I usually only play for a limited time. I purchased FIFA 14 to play with my kids, who both play soccer in a local Rec league. We played for hours the first day this was opened and have had several matches since. I have not dived too far into the online play or advanced features but we are very happy with setting up a quick match and playing through. The graphics are very well done, love the instant replay during the game. The AI also seems to work very well for weather and the day you are playing (it knew it was Christmas day for instance). I have not played a previous version of the game so I cannot speak to any loss of features but as I said, for our house, it is a great addition to the Xbox One

This game is great! Best FIFA so far. My only complaints would be; 1) While the graphics are great and the best so far for FIFA, you can tell that EA took the easy route and did not really work hard to make this a stellar graphical game on the Xbox One nor PS4. They are both better than the PS3 and Xbox 360, but they don't come close to pushing the limits of these new consoles. 2) In hindsight I would have digitally purchased the game instead so that I was not required to insert the disk everytime, and also easily play it at other people's houses. Regardless, I'm very happy with the purchase. Great Game for next gen consoles.

Please save yourself the aggravation that has plagued me since I purchased this game. The game is defective and most modes will not work. Career mode freezes after the first game every time and crashes you back to the Xbox dashboard and you have to restart the game. The same happens after Ultimate Team matches as well. So that takes the two best game modes out of the game and renders them completely unplayable. There is no update in sight and EA sports has made no effort to help its customers resolve the issue. They blame Microsoft and Microsoft blames EA and nobody will take responsibility. Online seasons mode is playable but the severe lag and outrageous team ratings also make this game mode absolutely miserable to play. 9 out of every 10 teams you play will be Real Madrid and there is no way to stop the lobbed through ball. This game has infuriated me more than anything in my entire life and I have heard rumors of a class action lawsuit being filed against EA. This game was the biggest waste of money and there is no way to return it unless you want to take $15 from Gamestop. I am warning you all to STAY AWAY FROM THIS GAME as it will cause you endless frustration and be a total and complete waste of your money. If all you want to do is play kick off games by yourself or with a friend then you'll be ok but that is literally the only game mode that works. Also the controller vibration function is messed up as well with the game and there is no vibration. There are probably more problems I am forgetting because they are simply endless. This is hands down the worst game I have ever played in my entire life and I have a gamer score of over 50k. Absolutely disgusted with EA and am never EVER buying an EA game again. Good riddance.

This is my first sports game for the xbox one, and the menus have changed a bit from the 360 (they're more boxy now, like the xbox one menus), so that took some time to get used to. But navigation aside, I love this game. My first FIFA game, and I have trouble putting it down. Definitely recommend. And since the world cup was in 2014, you get access to the world cup matches and can play as the country teams. What's not to love about that?

Fifa 14 is great, yes it had the crash of going back to home screen after the game but after reading some reviews I found you have to switch the arena player for any other different than the default and also the arena goalkeeper and that is it the problem is fixed. The kinect takes ordes from you, like formations, mentality and substitutions can be done with your voice when kinect is enable If you are Fifa fan this game is what you need, but if you are looking for something different, look some other place because Fifa is pretty much like the others Fifas with some improvements but the same.

This game is a very fun game to play. However it has a lot of bugs which is not the consoles fault, it's EAs. The biggest and most frustrating problem I've had so far is the constant crashing after I complete a career game. As soon as I hit the "continue" button it immediately shoots me back to the home screen. And I'm not the only one experiencing these problems. The forums are going crazy with negative reviews and comments. But despite all of that I do still enjoy this game very much and I still love the fifa series. Hopefully EA will fix all of this soon.

The thing that hits you first when you start the game is how incredible the graphics are. Usually, the visual improvements for sports games on next gen hardware is minimal, but the graphical difference between Fifa 14 on Xbox One and Fifa 13 on the 360 is huge. On top of the graphical improvement, Fifa 14 still offers great gameplay and sound that really puts you in the game. Highest recommendation.

May be engine wasn`t ready for prime time before release that`s why many options been stripped ,Ball is so small,Need to squint eyes to locate it during play .when ball goes out of field Long Cut shot before player reach ball and no way to skip`em.Only addition was Stadiums. Blame could be on Marketing team & EA Greed for FiFa 14 Failure as They need to sell "World Cup Game" in couple of months so `ll advertise addition of missing feature for another $60 . If you are hard core fifa fan go ahead but if can wait -Hold your instinct .I know you heard it a Lot ,its worst of all but Literally it is, from Game play to features that striped away.From Add Guest option gone , Team play gone .In summary, its good if you are Loner or basement dweller and enjoy Single Player.For Co-OP play like other games you need co -op player ( another xbox and another game holder ) . Hopefully PES pick up in new generation so monopoly and greed of EA `ll face some challenge .
