Bright, Reliable Headlamp That’s Surprisingly Handy
I picked up the GearLight USB rechargeable headlamp for camping and outdoor use, and it’s turned out to be way more useful than expected. The light is bright enough to clearly see what I’m doing, whether it’s setting up camp, walking at night, or working in a dark space. It’s lightweight and comfortable to wear, even for longer periods, and doesn’t feel bulky on the head. The rechargeable feature is a big win—no constantly swapping batteries. Charging is quick and easy, and the battery lasts long enough for multiple uses before needing a recharge. I also like the adjustable strap, which stays put without being too tight, and the different light modes that come in handy depending on the situation.Overall, this headlamp feels well-made, dependable, and practical. It’s one of those tools you don’t think about much until you really need it, and then you’re glad you have it. Definitely a solid choice for camping, running, or any outdoor activity.

Great, inexpensive headlamp
I bought a pair of these that use AAA batteries, and then two sets of these USB rechargeable units. Both kinds of headlamps are just fine for all sorts of uses -- they are lightweight, bright, and easy to use. I'll take them hiking, camping, and keep one in the truck. The AAA units use up the NiMH AAA batteries pretty quickly, which is no surprise as they are pretty low capacity, like any AAA battery. The USB rechargeable units seem to hold a charge for a very long time, and can be recharged easily from a wall outlet (with a USB adapter), or from a battery pack or the USB outlet in your vehicle. So I'd recommend the USB version for most users. (If you need a headlamp for a go bag or bug out kit, or for your hurricane prep kit, then the AAA version makes sense, with several sets of AAA Lithium batteries, which last forever. That way you have guaranteed light without worrying about the charge status.)

Night Time Vision
I grabbed the GearLight USB Rechargeable Headlamp (2-Pack) for night photography, and it’s been fantastic. The red light is bright enough to see what I’m doing but doesn’t ruin night vision, which is key for long-exposure shots. I also love that the angle is adjustable, so I can point the beam exactly where I need it.Battery life has been solid, and it’s comfortable enough for extended use. Bonus: it’s great for camping, running, or any nighttime adventure.Any other photographers out there using headlamps for night shots? Would love to hear your tips!

Good value for the money, but the light itself is not as strong
I bought this for my hike in Valley of fire in Las Vegas, Nevada. It did work during the nighttime hike, but I noticed that the red light that it’s supposed to admit is not very bright and it’s actually very low compared to the white light that it emits. The white light itself is fairly bright and didn’t have any issues so far. There is an adjustable option for the lighting so you can adjust it up and down in terms of how you want the light to be shown. Changing from light to red is a little bit difficult because you have to wait five seconds before you press the button again for the red light to come in, but it doesn’t work all the time. it charges with the USB and not the battery which is very helpful. The band itself looks fairly strong and fits well into my head and it adjusted perfectly. It does absorb a lot of fluid so when you take it off, you need to air it out since the strap is fairly wet. The battery life seems to last only a few hours maybe one to two hours stops so I would charge both headlamps before going on an extended trip.

Good headlights
I never expected to need 2 of these lights, but then life has a way of proving the opposite is true. I used these to walk in the dark, down the basement stairs, and outside to the car. Now the other light is being used as I search through boxes in a storage unit, which is wonderful for me. I love the USB charge factor and the charge works at least 3 hours over time. I can redirect the light and that also us a good thing.

Nice Rechargeable Headlamps
I have had two different headlamps in the past. When was Princeton Tec and the other was Northbound Train. The batteries leaked in both of those maybe because they didn’t use them that often but still.I was looking to replace my headlamp when I got the idea to maybe look for one that was rechargeable and didn’t use regular batteries.I was happy to find these gear light headlamps, even though I didn’t need two of them. I guess I can keep one in the car or something. It would be handy to have in the glove box at night.I haven’t had the gear light headlamp for that long, but I am leaving my review because I discovered one thing. The one thing that I did not like about the gear light headlamp is the strap that goes around your head. It’s not comfortable for some reason. Maybe it’s the fabric.Luckily, I had not tossed the Princeton Tec headband yet and got it out of a drawer and switched headbands. So now the GearLight is really comfortable to wear. Tada!I think GearLight should look into a more comfortable headband fabric, and then they would be set.The gear light does not look as high-quality as other headlamps that I have owned, but they look good enough. And I really like that they are rechargeable and they are very bright.I have used a headlamp in blackouts and other emergencies, but I have also used them for club DJing!
