After that you may experience picture pixelation or drop in picture frames. **Q: Is this capable of transferring 1080p? my resolution gets reduced to vga when using.** A: VGA is an analog standard and will be affected by the length of the cable you're connecting with. The boxes convert the 8-bit information for each color (RGB) into a digital intensity (24 bit) and then reconvert them back into analog RGB on the other end. Full digital 1080p using HDMI or DVI is not going to have nearly the loss potential that VGA does, so to minimize the losses at 1080p you have to keep the length of the cable as short as can be made (i.e. no extra coiling of cable at either end). If that optimized length of cable still degrades the signal, then this extender is not going to be what you need. Properly attached cable plugs (with no untwisted "slop") and CAT6 cable will also help as its wires and shielding are better to allow higher data transmission rates. **Q: 6th picture indicates this works across a network w/ multiple switches. Can you confirm this will work across a switched ethernet network?** A: I have it connected with a cable directly from transmitter to receiver. I do not believe that the picture is correct as they sell 60M version and 100M version (330ft). If this thing could work thru network than just putting a simple switch in the middle you could transmit 200M and so on.
