High quality Rye berries!
Taste great. Delivered quickly. I needed both cracked & whole rye berries so I just put some in my coffee grinder and broke them up. I made Volkorn brot and it turned out delicious. I use to manage a German bakery which we made Volkorn brot every week. I believe mine was far more outstanding in taste because of the berries being so fresh. I made the bread in a Pullmans loaf pan and it's very important to let mix set for 24 hrs then bake, let cool completely down before slicing for it will be Very moist. Turns out wonderful. Value for quality. Delish!

The perfect grain for pasta-making
I use this grain to grind at home and make my own pasta. It has a lovely nutty scent and flavor. The pasta it makes functions like semolina pasta. It doesn't get mushy or fall apart. It cooks to the perfect al dente texture and holds sauce. If you want to make your own pasta, this is a wonderful grain to do it with!

A delicious brown rice alternative
The rye berries are tasty and easy to cook in a rice cooker. One cup of grains with 2 1/2 cups of water, 1/4 tsp salt. Set it to brown rice or cook it like regular rice. NO PRESOAK! You might need three cups of water. These look good on your plate with the rest of your meal. Recently I didn't have a full cup of rye berries left in the bag. (I use the 8 oz cup for the whole grains, and the Japanese cup (6 oz) that comes with the rice cooker for any rice. ) I mixed the rye berries with brown rice, calculating the water for each amount of grain. I loved it! and will mix them again.

Top quality
Wow. No dust, that's the first thing that impresses you. Scoop without leaving a trail, container you use will be easy to clean, a big change from the cheaper millets. No unhulled grains. Taste is superior too, excellent even without so much as salt. I use it to make a thick congee in an instant pot. Delicious. Very expensive, but its quality has me paying for it again.

They arrive tiny and hard and cook up chewy and delicious!
These rye groats (or berries) looked tiny and grayish in the bag, but plumped up two to three times in size and turned a tan color when gently boiled. Rye is a gluten grain, so to dispel any concern I might have an allergy or be sensitive to gluten, I paid to get a blood test done through LifeExtension.com (which is nice because you don't have to wait until you see your doctor). I learned I don't, so I am free to consume this highly nutritious grain. They taste really good and mix well with whole oat groats, cooking in about the same amount of time. You cook them to your desired degree of chewiness.
