UPDATE: So, I sprayed my yard close to two months ago, give or take. I live in Vegas, with a rock yard that was improperly lined when we bought the place. I think they just rocked over old lining. I have had my yard trenched to replace the main water line twice and all that loose desert dirt has encouraged a "river" of weeds all the way from the vault to my house that I pull twice a year, as well as the condensation pipe from my AC that drains next to my garage creating a nice moist spot for weeds to thrive in the narrow planter bed. And now that monsoon season is about to kick off, it will soon be a recipe for disaster... except? I strung up a mister system in my front yard tree because I had been working out there in 118 degrees, hack sawing on aluminum trim at odd lengths and angles and needed the elbow room, which after 105-110 degrees, you don't notice the difference except ya sweat more, but it annoys me, gets in my eyes, burns, etc., but the misters really did the trick. In the shade of the tree, the mist doesn't evaporate and actually waters the ground around the tree. Puddles on my table, too. Another place for weeds to thrive is where it's cooler like in the shade during the hottest part of the day. I must say, 2 months and not one single foxtail, goat head vine, or other random weed to speak of and the old weeds died so hard they turned to dust and blew away. 😳 I'm gobsmacked and take back every word leaning toward unimpressive. This stuff rocks. Patience is not my best character trait, although having kids will force you to learn, but she's 21 now, work and school full time. I got nothing to gripe or be patient about these days. Lol If you have no problem letting the dead weeds do what dead weeds do, this stuff is effortless. Just mix as per the label and spray those sucker's and forget about them like I did. Might take a couple weeks to fully realize the desired effects, but 🔥 hot damn! I was shocked when I realized how CLEAN the yard appeared when it occurred to me to observe the results. I'm keeping this stuff around. No more pulling baby TREES with roots long enough to tap into the water table anymore and all the fine barbs that my gloves just don't protect against cuz I refuse to spend more than 3-5 bucks on garden gloves. Lol *shrug* +1 star. Well earned. 5/5 It was a bit lackluster on its performance, but it could be user/buyer error. I expected instant wilting. Not really, but damn near. It says within hours! Bottom line, ding dong the weeds are dead. Some little piddley weeds took days to recoil at my poison! At least now I can take a torch to the rock lawn, get all the little dry sprigs, and call it a season till monsoons show up. Crap, I guess I should hit the back yard, too.... A girl's work is never done. I have a dang tree weed back there that spits cottony, feathery crap. That's what this stuff was made for, no? It will be the ultimate test. If I remember, I'll update. If it does what it's supposed to, I'll up my rating, too.

I moved into this house nearly two years ago to find a very pernicious vine growing in two beds: Houttuynia or Chameleon Plant. It is also known as fish mint. It takes over all other foliage and creeps out into the lawn. I have tried to kill it with many products, all to no avail. I tried digging it up - but it grows laterally, and the roots are everywhere and they run deep. I bought this, since it's supposed to kill poison ivy - another stubborn vine. Hallelujah! It's working! I suspect it will take a season or two to finally eradicate this, as the roots continue to send up new sprouts every few days. But I will keep at it, spraying all the new growth. By the way, I'm using this full strength and being very careful to only hit this horrible plant (which has a weird odor to it - the dog loves to roll in it - yuck). Yes, it's pretty - but it's pretty obnoxious as well. Anyone trying to fight this invasive species - here you go! You have to stay on top of this and be patient, but I think after two years of fighting, I'm now making progress! Thank you Round Up!!!!

update 4/29/24: I didn't have to do dig out any new bamboo after the application of roundup last year, no new bamboo shoots came out on my side, also I think many bamboo on my neighbors' side are now dead because the roots are all connected together. I'm very happen about this product. I bought it to control bamboo growth coming from my neighbor’s yard. The instruction says cut the stem and pour the concentrate into the freshly cut stem, which I did, I also dugout a lot of roots and pour the roundup concentrate to the fresh cut. It took a whole winter to show the effect. Coming spring, I can barely see any new bamboo shoots coming out, and the bamboo in neighbors yard, although I didn’t do anything to them, the leaves started to turn yellow. I don’t think they are dead, but they definitely not going to expand to my yard that fast anymore. Great product, this will be my go to product when I need to control bamboo growth.

I read the reviews and it seemed to work. I doused the poison ivy and waited, absolutely nothing happened to the leaves any of the ton of poison ivy drenched with Roundup Concentrate Poison Ivy Plus Tough Brush Killer, nothing! It did kill the weeds I sprayed but I bought this product to kill/get rid of poison ivy. It failed! Now buy a different product, gear up and do it all over. I will not buy this product again. UPDATE! I moved from 1 star to 4 star, 4 star because it did not kill all of the poison ivy. The Roundup Concentrate Poison Ivy Plus Tough Brush Killer finally did kill 85% of poison ivy. There was so much I would call it a success.

If used carefully (a full-bodysuit, chemical mask, shoe covers and gloves) this is the best Roundup to use. It kills weeds, but also many kinds of bushes too. It kills 15’ high cane weed in Hawaii, it kills scrub brush in AZ. Use it carefully, read the entire label. I’ve seen folks spraying weeds in shorts and flip-flops many, many times. Don’t be stupid, this is powerful stuff. Protect yourself. The disposable plastic full-body white suits from Home Depot made for crawling under your house will protect you fairly well. Chemical gloves are a must, as is a chemical/vapor-type mask. I also use disposable shoe covers and spray very carefully. Check wind direction carefully. Winds can change and swirl. Always spray downwind, and as close to the ground as possible. Roundup only works on leaves. Spraying the ground does nothing. You don’t need to blast it all over, only on healthy leaves. It’s absorbed into the plant in 30 minutes, so rain after that is OK. I’d also buy the inexpensive wetting agent that helps it stick to leaves, and the blue dye, that shows you where you’ve sprayed — so you don’t waste any by spraying an area twice. I’ve been told food coloring works too. The blue fades in a day or so. When used AS DIRECTED, this is excellent weed/brush killer!
