2016 release. Partynextdoor is a 21-year old producer, songwriter and singer from Mississauga, Ontario signed to OVO Sound. He released his self-titled, critically-acclaimed mixtape in July of 2013 on iTunes. Partynextdoor contributed to "Own It" and "Come Through" on Drake's Nothing Was the Same album and would join him, Future and Miguel on the "Would You Like A Tour" concert that fall. Review: A masterpiece. This is my favorite album period. - How the heck did this album get no recognition it just came and went without any notice. This album needs a lot of radio play. My review
I refrained from reviewing the album at first listen because as a PND fan, it was important to take in the vibe of the album. I wouldn't say I was disappointed; I just expected to fall in love with the album as I did with his prior projects, which I still bump to this day. If you're a die hard PND fan, you'll appreciate the new music but if you're a semi/kinda PND fan, you'll certainly be disappointed. For one, the album length is too long; with sixteen tracks that could really be condensed to about 8 or 10. Here are my track ratings: 2 Stars: Lackluster, Lyrically uninspiring, repetitive, no substance, almost like an after thought or filler tracks - Transparency - Nobody - Spiteful 3 Stars: Mediocre, Skip worthy tracks, didn't really care for these tracks - 1942 - You've Been Missed - Brown Skin - Problems & Selfless - Not Nice - High Hopes 4 Stars: Worth the download/listen - Don't Know How - Nothing Easy To Please - Only U 5 Stars: Gems of the album, reminiscent to the old PND we all love but more a bit more evolved, - Joy // i hear john mayers daughters in this song; beautiful track, something like a lullaby, too short but rightfully so - Don't Run - Temptations - Come and See Me

dark r&b, midnight vodka shots, saucy, dripping with drums and synths laced with mushrooms and balmy night breezes. sex in a city...any city. my opinion is that this cd is best played at low to medium volume and just let the vibe take you from there. It has the '6' all over it.
