Pepper grinder okay but salt Grinder does not handle Himalayan pink salt very well as it is too difficult to grind. The diameter of the grinder is a little bit too small to grip properly.

Love them! I placed unique sea salts in each as well as whole cardamon seed in another (to grind over ice cream or yogurt) They are SMALL and NOT heavy duty. They would not work as grinders for everyday essentials. But given all the gourmet rock salts out there, they are perfect for adding added salt or fresh ground spice to small dishes or individual plates before serving. NOT recommended for really hard spices. Don’t expect miracles from plastic parts and use gently. You are paying for the look and display, not simply function. If you aren’t displaying them, I would just get small metal-part grinders.
