Great Protection
A great cover that should really protect the battery. Easily clipped on the derailleur.

It’s Sram and it works.
I lost my battery cover somewhere in the folding rear seat mechanism when the seats were folded to transport the bike. I was glad I could buy a replacement and get it quickly. It can be a bit tricky to get the cover in place the first few times but goes easily with practice.

Seems like a design flaw that SRAM makes a derailleur without a battery cover but this item fits the bill. Probably costs cents to make with profit margin in the millionth percentile (thus the 4 star rating) but this item fits perfectly and I don't ride without it. I have seen the battery attachment break with falls on class 6 on another bike without the cover out in the boondocks and hope that this item will give just a little more protection. Fortunately I have not had to test that out yet. Single speed on hills are no fun!

SRAM quality
My original Eagle XX1 derailleur did not come with one, while my new GX derailleur did. With over 2k miles of not using one and never having an issue, this was kind of an aesthetic buy. They clip on and may make the battery more secure, but in my experience, I’ve never lost a battery before having this.
