Very stable and sturdy. A bit on the heavy side, but they make a handy-dandy wheel kit that bolts own allowing you to roll your ladder wherever you need to take it. Bought this ladder this summer for painting our house. It worked great. Very easy to set up and take down. Ladder was very stable and comfortable to use in all positions. This ladder replaced a much cheaper folding ladder from Werner. There's no comparison.
