Need this feature for my son.** A: There is an alarm feature but it is not very loud to hear it if the unit is setup more than 5ft away. When a level is set the numbers will blink/flash for about 10secs to notify you that dB level has been exceeded which i like better than an alarm. Is that a standard male camera-style threaded screw?** A: I used a pair of common push pins. Put the plastic parts in the holes, take a piece of paper and push it onto the pin parts.
