Striker STKR Concepts Magnetic LED Light, Model 00105, Red

First I would say this product is a very neat idea! It is very handy in regards to the size and I love that it is magnetic and thus can stick easily to surfaces such as the refrigerator. The color of the device (red) was a great choice especially if you are trying to locate this product in little to no lighting. The price of the device is very inexpensive and thus adds to it's appeal of being another handy, inexpensive gadget to have on hand. The brightness of the light is perfect, not too overwhelming but also bright enough to complete tasks effectively. The only con I've noticed is the difficulty of turning the light switch on and off. The switch is easily located, however the switch can be difficult to "push" into the on and off positions; however this minimal detail does not devalue the effectiveness of the product as a whole. Overall this is a great product, and I would happily order more for future needs.

I bought this for my husband -the mechanic. He just loved it. He couldnt wait to take it to work and show it off to the other workers. After he demo'd it to them, that it can project the light at any angle while sticking to surfaces, they all wanted to know where to get one. He never told because he wants to be the only one who has such a cool little light, but now you know where to get one and it is a cleaver little gizmo. What impressed my husband and his friends is the magnets are very strong in force and the light is very bright. it will hurt your eyes if you look directly at it, which I guess is a good thing because you would need a bright light to point at what youre doing. its just so unusual and it works.

I bought 4 as gifts, including one for myself. I'm glad I did, because mine came in and wasn't working (one of the ones I gave as a gift has been confirmed as working upon arrival, but the other two have not been taken out of their packages yet. I'll have to ask them later whether or not they worked right away). There are no instructions that come with the light, the QR code on the package gave an error message, and not much popped up on google about this product. Another reviewer mentioned the batteries being dead on arrival when theirs came in, but they couldn't figure out how to change the batteries. I looked on mine and there is a small tab, in the seam where each half of the light comes together. You can push a small flathead screwdriver into that tab and pull the two halves apart. I was worried I would break that tab by pushing on it with the flathead, which is ultimately what happened, but it seems to be better that way. It's a little easier to pull apart now, but it still fits together tight enough that I don't worry about it coming apart when I don't want it to. After replacing the batteries I can confirm that was indeed the problem. Other than the dead batteries, the light is fantastic. It's really bright and the magnets are strong. So far I'm happy with the product.

This little light has gotten so much use! We have used it everywhere from under a desk to see the back of the computer, to attached to a clipboard at a swim meet. It provides plenty of light to see and can be positioned anyway you want. It is small enough to get misplaced so you have to be careful of where you set it down. Definitely going to order more of these to have in each room.

This light is a good idea and is very useful around the car. Unfortunately it's not very well built. The first one I got wouldn't shut off: the light would change settings, but none of them were completely off. The replacement works, but the first time I used it one of the magnets came off. It was easy enough to epoxy it back in, but I shouldn't have needed to. Still, it's nice to have an inexpensive little light that I can stick in place under the hood. I just wish it were more durable.

I bought this light as a Christmas gift for my husband back in July during Prime Days. Since it was a gift, I didn't open it to see if everything was in working order. When my husband opened the light on Christmas day we found that one of the springs in the battery compartment was missing. Since I bought the light way last summer (the downside of buying Christmas gifts during Prime Days, I guess) I was past the 30 day return window. I wrote to the Striker Company, the company that makes the light, on Christmas day. I received a reply the next morning from Jennifer Barnes who asked me to send her a copy of my invoice and she would send us a new battery compartment. I received the part on 12/31/18, less than a week after contacting Striker. The light works great, very bright, and the magnets seem to be very strong. Thank you Striker, and Jennifer Barnes for the great customer service!

This light worked great for 1 day. The problems with it are the on off switch is right where you would expect a magnet to be so every time you turn it on and you try sticking it to a side wall of a cramped machine you accidentally turn the damn thought off. Next problem is the battery. Im not sure how long they last because again the poor switch placement means if i put it in my tool box that then gets thrown around by the TSA it switches on. I put some rechargable AAAs in there and flipped the battery cage around while traveling but that doesn't get you very far because the cap is hard to open, and you'll drop the cage Everytime. Next issue is the ruggedness of the thing. After 3 work trips it's now useless. It's lost a couple of magnets, and the switch no longer turns it off. it just cycles between dim and bright so I suspect a bad contact somewhere. My recommendations to the manufacturer are these: change the button switch to a slider like the tiny micro light mines. I would say at this point those work way better than this light. Next make the whole thing rechargable. I would absolutely be fine with a DC transformer and an outlet below the magnet points. And finally I would like to see a wider beam. Or even make another model that is all clear plastic and LEDs completely around the thing. That would be super useful for mechanics like me who crawl around the underside of presses daily.

Esta linterna es muy práctica, aunque los imanes no tienen mucha fuerza para agarrar si no es directamente en el metal. Lo digo por el ejemplo del capó del coche, ya que no agarra en el aislante sonoro. Posee dos posiciones de luz blanca y dos pedidos para la luz roja, intermitente y fija. Debido asunto múltiples patas te permite direccionar la luz de forma muy eficiente, ideal para ñapas básicas en casa donde no tienes manos para iluminar y realizar el apaño.

So awesome I bought a second one! It's just a tiny bit of brilliance. Strong magnets make it really versatile, bright, ready to switch on. I don't know how long batteries last or how easy it is to change them though. Problem with car engine in hard to see places? Check! Digging out stuff from storage? Check! Take with you on plane/train/car trips? Check!

Easy to use, great gift, nice and bright. I wish the light beam was a bit bigger. It's definitely something different

This was a black friday deal and Christmas present for my son who commutes daily in his car. He said he wished he had had it earlier when something needed fixing under his car bonnet. It is a really useful little tool to have in the car - either as a light to fix things by (and its beam is powerful) or as a warning light if stranded on a dark road.
