Amazing lights for a 5th Gen 4Runner - plug and play
If you're in the market for LED fog lights for your 5th gen Toyota 4Runner, look no further than these Auxbeam pod style fog lights. Bright, well built, and they're plug and play! BUILD QUALITY & HARDWARE: The lights themselves are made with cast aluminum and feel sturdy, heavy and seem to be well put together. There are two mounting points on each side of the light and the kit comes with mounting brackets and all necessary hardware to surface mount your lights. It also comes with a wiring kit, which I did not use. I also purchased the Tacoma/4Runner kit which came with new bezels, mounting hardware and pig-tail adapter that adapts from the Auxbeam deutsch style connector to H11. The kit comes with two lenses, one amber/yellow and one clear. Behind each lens is a soft, what feels like silicone, seal which sits in a groove in the aluminum housing. I have faith that these will remain water tight as long as the seal is installed properly in the groove when changing the lens (check the gasket and allen screws before installing). My only real gripe with these lights is the paint/powder coat is inconsistent. The cooling fins are not properly painted and there are definitely lighter areas that don't have a complete coat of paint. If you're installing these behind a grill, in a bumper, or foglight housing, its not going to be an issue. INSTALLATION/TIPS If you are installing these on a 4Runner, be aware that there are NO INSTRUCTIONS provided by Auxbeam and there are only a few videos online to guide you through the installation process. Anyone with a little DIY knowhow can figure it out, but it would have been nice to include a quick guide, pictures, or instructions. If installing in a 4runner's factory fog light housing, remember to rotate and instal the bezel 90 degrees so that the larger part of the bezel is facing towards the center of the truck when you instal the light. You will also have a little play, like 3/16th or less, to manipulate the light and reduce gaps. Don't tighten the two screws until you're satisfied with the gap and a second pair of hands would be helpful. The passenger OEM foglight on 4runners is covered by a rear plastic shield which can be a pain to remove. Undo 3-4 clips that hold the the front foglight plastic bezel, move it out of the way a bit and undo the shield clips from the front and it will pop out the back. I am satisfied with the fitment (see pics) as I was able to get the passenger side light dead on, but struggled with the driver side. For good measure, I added clear high temp silicone to properly set the gasket in the groove before assembly and added dielectric grease to the connectors to prevent corrosion. PERFORMACE Okay so these lights exceeded my expectations. Light output has to be at least equal or greater to my retrofitted LED headlight bulbs I installed last year. I opted to install the clear lenses as I needed more visibility on rural/forrest/desert roads as opposed to inclement/dusty weather and I don't off road at night. Without any kind of diffusion, they throw light high into the trees and well out towards the sides, illuminating the side of road. It's "brute force" lighting with little light control. The included amber lenses are split with a diffuser only at the bottom and I would think that might give you a little better light control. I'm happy with this set up though as it increases night visibility exponentially. I'm satisfied with the color, they don't quite match by headlights and I would guess they are just below 6500k. CONCLUSION If you're looking for reasonably priced LED pod-style fog lights or you want to replace those terrible 4Runner halogen fog lights, these are a good bet. I won't speak about longevity as I've just installed them but for the price, you get a lot of light output. I'm now looking to buy another set and install them with amber lenses behind my grill, they are THAT good.

Way better value than Baja Designs
Been using Auxbeam LEDs for over 10 years and never had a single one fail on me. Got these to replace a set of Baja Design fog lights that cost $1200 and died with only 4 years of occasional on road use. These are 95% as bright and focused as the Baja and are a fraction of the cost and look almost identical. Great color from the additional yellow covers, if thats your style. Used on my 2018 Ford Raptor and fit exactly the same as the Bajas. Save yourself a headache and dont waste your money on the Baja Design lights, unless you're a brand snob or do actual Baja racing at 90mph and want that extra 5% of light. They're not worth it. I also used a set of standard spot beam 7 inch Auxbeam lightbars as headlights on a daily driven project car for 8 years and they still worked like new when I sold the car. Additional Auxbeams were used as fog lights, ditch lights and reverse lights on my old Xterra for 6 years without issue. (I've also now had a second set of the smaller Baja Designs lights fail on their own just a few months after the set these replaced, so those will also be replaced with Auxbeams equivalent)

Nice lights
It's the 3rd time i buy these particular lights. Intensity is strong, beam pattern is very nice and the amber color is super. Also, after 3 years or so, no humidity problems, nor color lens fading. Worth the money spend.

Nice and bright .
These ditch lights were a perfect buy . Been doing a lot of research on ditch lights and came across these . Quality is just as good as the higher end ones . Super bright for night time woods driving or just night time driving in general . Harness was straight plug and play which was lovely . Only complaint I had was the mounting hardware for the brackets were too long so I had to buy different hardware. Overall a sold product .

Very bright, seem to be good quality!
Just installed these as cowl lights on my 4Runner, and they seem to be very bright at a reasonable price point. I spent significantly more on my fog lights (Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro SAE) when I first got the vehicle, but decided to be a little more "budget conscious" for these cowl lights since I wouldn't be using them ALL the time. My one concern was whether or not the color temperature would be close to the SS3 - and you can see a very slight difference when looking directly at the lights, but its not enough to bother me. These are a touch more yellow, whereas the SS3 appear just a bit more amber. From the drivers seat, the color difference is negligible. Another concern was beam pattern - I went with the combo lens because I wanted a bit more light on the shoulder of the road (gotta watch out for those Pennsylvania deer!) but also have a little more light down road. These don't particularly excel at either, but it does seem to be a good compromise. Overall, they seem to be well built, but of course time will tell. At this price point, I'm very happy with the lights. I may pick up a couple more with the flood pattern and mount them on the back of the vehicle for help setting up camp at night. Some red lenses would be a cool feature for that!

Plug and play without any modification
Great fitment, super bright, plug and play, only issue was I wish it came with instructions. It took a good bit to figure out how the brackets will fit and adjust the mounts brackets. This how it came out and was installed

Works great. Very durable.
We use this on a commercial fishing boat and it has survived the test on almost two years

Best lights for the money
Great beam pattern, super bright and the amber color is perfect, unlike the amber on their light bars, which is too dark. This is my second pair, the first are on ditch light pods, these are going in the bumper.
