Very nice unit, the unit is very noisy, well packed for shipping as it weigh 37+ lbs, found a small leak in a fitting connection but will rethread with some locktite to stop the air leak. Leakdown from 150 psi to 120 psi within 4 hrs. Had a hard time pushing my male hose attachment into either of the 2 connections but finally figured out how to push harder forcing the connection in & it worked fine afterwards. Gauges are just OK. I would buy this unit again.

Works great

I am pleased with this item. It works well but it's noisy and I keep the pressure turned all the way up so it starts immediately as I use it but I'm sure it will be a lasting addition to my shop. I bought it to replace an older model which I had for many years and I used it as a professional trim carpenter. I'll expect the same from this one.

I bought this air-cooled compressor to replace a 2.5 hp, 70 pound oil-lubricated compressor that was still going strong after 25 years of use. As a 70+ senior who can't heft as much weight as I could when I was 30 years old, I definitely appreciate the light weight of this Porter Cable compressor...only 30 pounds or thereabouts. I can move it anywhere I want with no difficulty - including lifting it into my wheelbarow if I need to take it somewhere else at a distance. It is no louder than the one it is replacing - which is another big benefit. The packaging was very substantial and it would easily survive rough handling by the "Samsonite Gorilla" (for those of you old enough to remember him!!) I have several Porter Cable air driven hand tools (nailers and otherwise) and I have never experienced problems with any of them. My guess it that this compressor will peform equally well. GREAT PRODUCT - FAIR PRICE - HIGHLY RECOMEND.

This is my 3rd Porter-Cable compressor over the years. Great little shop compressor. The last one lasted me 6 year of fairly regular use. The one before that is still in service as my sprinkler system line blow-out compressor so only gets used once a year. I've had that one for nearly 20 years. I know Black and Decker bought Porter-Cable, but so far I've been happy with them.

Made a great gift and is working well.
