They are about the size of most multivitamins. Soft and easy to swallow. Some vitamin E gel caps can be punctured with a pin and you can use the oil inside on your skin. This is not the case with these. The liquid inside is also a reddish brown and very thick and sticky. I have used it on my skin, but more as a mask. I couldnt leave the house with it on. My main problem with all NOW vitamins is that the lids are not air tight. And in fact not tight at all. A lot of air gets in.
