I've been using a travelers notebook system for over a year. I actually have several in different sizes used for separate purposes. While none of my notebook covers are made by Midori, (personal preference) 90% of my accessories are made by Midori. I have found this particular product to be extremely helpful & very sturdy. In case anyone was wondering, this is a plastic protecter pocket /zipper pocket to be used with a standard sized travelers notebook system. After removing it from the packaging, you will notice it was folded in half. One side has a large zippered pocket & the other has a place to store small papers, receipts, decorating supplies that are flat (stickers, adhesive strips or dots, etc.). To put this in your TNB, simply slide the opened pockets underneath an elastic until the elastic is right in the middle of the 2 pockets in the small grooves. You are then able to fill with whatever you like & when you close your TNB, it folds in half again. I've discovered my favorite way to incorporate this item into my TNB is to take an insert (or even 2-3 if they're connected properly with the expansion bands) and put inside a Midori brand Kraft folder. I then take the Kraft folder w/ insert(s) & wrap this plastic zippered pocket around the Kraft folder. I then insert all 3 layers under one elastic & have made excellent use of one band! I am sure this sounds very confusing, so I hope some photos will help. *Please remember, my TNB is not made by Midori. I only use Midori brand accessories. 1st picture- this item opened out of package. 2nd picture- an insert inside a Midori Kraft folder, inside this plastic zippered pocket. 3rd picture- Inserted all 3 (insert, Kraft folder & this item) onto just one elastic in my TNB (not a Midori). I hope someone found this useful. It took a little time for me to learn what worked & what didn't. This is a zipper pocket for the Midori and the great advantage is that it seals. I use this to hold paperclips, SD Flash Cards, and occasionally spare pens or pens with different color inks. In my particular case, I violated the minimalist design of the Midori and added a second elastic band from the Midori TN repair kit (I attached it to the brass top attachment with thread and tied the other end around the original elastic band. Then I used this second band to hold my 008 insert. You don't have to do any of this, but it's fun to have two separate elastic bands for holding your notebook and inserts. I like to make my own notebooks with paper I choose and since I use a tiny plastic comb binder, two bands is really nice. You should also consider the sticker pocket Refill 006 insert as well. I have both and enjoy them very much. If you dont have the Refill 006, I recommend it also - that's a plastic pocket that adheres to the inside front or back leather cover of a Midori Traveler's Notebook. I chose the inside front cover. I find it very useful for business cards or small paper items and receipts I pickup during the day. If you haven't tried the Midori Travelers Notebook and have happened on this review by chance, than I can't recommend it highly enough for anyone who wants to try the journal system of nurturing your creativity by collecting thoughts, sketching ideas, and navigating the day with occasional pauses. I purchased my Midori Traveler's Notebook (a little larger than 4 x 8") because it fits my back pocket perfectly and provides 8" of writing/journaling surface versus the more common 3"x5" or 4"x6" size pocket notebooks. A journal is much more than a book of lists or actions - computers, tablets, or smartphones are much better at reminding you of the Things You Must Do. The Midori TN is simple leather and a promise - a promise that you make to yourself and enjoy each time you pull it out and apply ink to paper to work through the events or thoughts of the day or the fleeting impulse or idea that with a little ink and time, grows into exactly what you want. If you match a Midori TN with a Pilot Fermo you are definitely indulging yourself, quite outrageously, and I think you should <smile>.

So useful for my traveler's notebook - doubles as extra storage AND a display for small things like instax photos, stickers, and postcards.

I cannot say enough good things about this brand. I just love the paper. Its fountain, watercolor and gouache accepting! And its a smooth writing experience. I just love this paper!

No diría que tenga que ser un elemento para evitar que se moje el contenido (mal vamos si se moja la Midori), pero sí que resulta muy útil para guardar billetes o cosas pequeñas y evitar que se caigan a la vez que las protegemos de la humedad. Por un lado es la bolsa zip y por el otro hace como dos bolsillos donde cabe perfectamente un A4 doblado. Aparentemente tiene buena construcción.

Très utile pour ranger des tickets, une règle, et autres petits accessoires plats dans le carnet.

This zipper pocket is amazingly well built! The plastic is thick and sturdy. It also holds more than I expected. I honestly don't use the side pocket on the other side of the zipper pocket but it's there for those who would use it. Since I don't use it in an actual midori travelers notebook, but rather a ZLYC travelers note book, I find that it's difficult to keep in the notebook without popping out a tiny bit. (You can see this in the photo I attached) This can cause the notebooks band to bend the zipper pouch a little bit. I've been using this for months and even though it warps my zipper pouch, it has not caused the zipper to fail.
