I thought this seemed weaker than normal, leading me to test its percentage. My H2O2 concentration test strips decided to be elusive, so I did the test with the same procedural scientific rigor of a caveman. I poured some on my fingers and let it start sit for awhile. After my in depth studies, I can verify this is an adequate percentage and the same product quality you find in the bottles at salons. The Amazon-benefit is that you get great value for your money, considering the large gallon size. I used it on my pillow cases and other bedding to clean, disinfect, and remove some stains. It foamed up a little bit and did great.

Having worked with 30% hydrogen peroxide during my internship in a neuroscience lab in college, I can confirm that this is definitely high concentration peroxide. 30% will burn you and bleach your skin and clothes nearly instantly, this is similar, but not as harsh. Absolutely use caution and PPE while working with this 12% peroxide (particularly safety glasses, if you get this in your eye, you'll end up in the ER in severe pain; possibly with permanent damage). Okay, safety precautions aside, this stuff works awesome for cleaning night guards and trays for clear braces like Invisalign. I use it at a 1:1 ratio (so, 6% peroxide) in an ultrasonic cleaner for 10 min and my trays and wife's night guard come out super clean. It's also great for spraying on mold and bacteria that grows in bathrooms. Just let it sit until it stops bubbling, rinse with water, and all clean! Just take precautions not to breathe in the spray. I wear a mask, gloves, safety glasses if I'm going to be spraying it. TL;DR: it works great for cleaning things that won't bleach (don't recommend for fabrics, unless they're white), but WEAR YOUR PPE. This stuff is very strong and not to be taken lightly. It can absolutely do damage to your skin, eyes, nose, throat, and lungs. Just be careful with it.

My composite sink gets mildew stains in the bottom. Barkeepers friend wouldnt even get them out. Really annoying and seemed impossible to get rid of until I tried this strong peroxide. I put the stopper down, mixed it to about 50% strength with sink water and let it soak overnight. Was still bubbling a little in the morning and the mildew was gone.

This is strong stuff! Works great for cleaning and whitening surfaces. I used it to brighten grout and remove some stubborn stains, and it performed really well. Just be careful — the 12% strength means gloves are a must. Wish it came with a spray nozzle, but otherwise excellent.

This stuff is strongly reactive at 12%. Don’t confuse it with lower concentrations. I have gotten good results with a diluted solution. It foams away grunge and mold. If you use it full strength, take precautions to avoid getting it on your skin or inhaling it. Due to its chemistry, it leaves no residue itself. Mold pretty much disappears. CAUTION: don’t even think about mixing it with ammonia or chlorine bleach.

Learned that bleach turns white grout yellow and peroxide whites it. When I put it in spray bottle and sprayed shower floor it bubbles up all the yellow and other stains and looks like new!
