**Q: Is the wood untreated?**
A: Hello!
Thanks for your question.

The set comes with dry linden bars. The dried wood is processed on planing machines, namely on a jointer and thickness gauge and a panel saw, which allows us to set clear dimensions for the bar and the parallelism of the sides.
Sliced dry bars are packed in a package.

Additionally, the wood is not impregnated with anything, if that is the question.

**Q: Do they make a 12x12x1" block?**
A: Hello!
Unfortunately, we do not make such blocks. The largest block size we produce is 2"x4"x2".

I wanted to get into woodcarving over the summer, but it seemed like a pretty difficult hobby to just pick up out of the blue. Several YouTubers recommended BeaverCraft for beginner tools and wood, so I decided to bite. This basswood has proven to be exactly what I needed for starting out with carving! The wood is incredibly soft (for a wood--it's not like clay), so it makes whittling and carving a breeze. The size and quantity of the blocks are also amazing, coming with about 12 long pieces and 6 cube pieces for various projects. A lot of videos you can find online utilize the longer blocks, so I appreciated the large amount they sent me. If you're looking for high quality wood, I can definitely add my endorsement to BeaverCraft. Check out their other products, too! They're (generally) affordable and great quality.
