I have given it four stars because I don't know how it compares to other products and because I haven't used it long enough to be able to say whether the good results hold up, but I've used it in my suede boots for a few weeks now and they haven't soaked. I haven't wear my boots on heavy rainfall, but I have walked in them through snow and puddles a few times, as well as some light rain, and there is no sign of soaking. I have applied this product two or three times for good measure, and I think that it works best when you clean up your boots and brush them with a shoe brush. Then proceed spraying the boots very lightly and let the product dry in for an hour or two. Then repeat this process three or four times before wearing them. That's my two pence. Hope this helps other buyers.
