Wish I knew about this sooner!! I am a peppermint addict; I drink peppermint hot chocolate or tea all year round, and love baking with it. After getting the bottle, I came home and made a cup of hot chocolate and added the extract; it tastes the same as the small bottle and smells the same, just in a much larger quantity. The percentages are the same. With Christmas in less an a month, having it around I know I will get used. I will be ordering it again. The bottle is plastic, and the lid has a flip top, which makes it perfect for baking and ease of use in general, not fiddling with a lid that you might lose.

Excellent quality. Great flavor. Didn't leak. Nothing "off" about the Peppermint smell or flavor like I've found with other brands. A big jar of Peppermint Extract for baking, adding to coffee or hot chocolate, or candy making--McCormick is the best 100% Pure Peppermint Extract. Flavor still strong after baking, so use less than you think you need.

This stuff is more potent than I expected. I am using it in my coffee and prefer to mix it in at the time of making a cup so it's optional, i.e. instead of mixing it in with the creamer or the coffee directly. However, the opening spout on the bottle is too large for that kind of use, maybe as much as twice as large as is necessary, so it kind of dribbles out and then down the bottle, thereby making a mess instead of dropping out in an orderly way. I guess the bottle is intended for using large quantities at once? But, it's so concentrated that even that seems odd to me. All of that aside, the peppermint flavor is great and exactly what I wanted. It seems to have a positive effect on my ability to concentrate, compared to coffee without it. Weird to say it helps me be more productive, but that is my genuine belief. Recommended, especially if you have a dropper or some other way to regulate dispensing it. Or, maybe creating a dilute solution in a separate container to dispense.

Taste Great! … BUT the bottle makes a mess when you try to pour it out it just goes everywhere! :(

The bottle is huge for the price, so I think this one was a great value. It is very minty and does not taste like alcohol to me. I transferred some to a small dropper bottle to more easily use only a few drops without dribbling down the side of this bottle, and I think it will be perfect. I would buy this again, but it might be a while because this bottle is so big.

Makes me so happy that I can now make my own Peppermint Moca drinks at hone with this culinary pure peppermint extract. The bottle does tend to leak a little when pouring the peppermint extract into the measuring spoon. I hope they redesign the cap. I am keeping my eye out for another bottle that I can use for this extract.

Got mice? Not anymore! Seriously - I live in a rural area. Mice love to climb into my vehicles to make nests, store acorns, and chew on wires (repairs are expensive!). I tried everything from nomal mousetraps to a variety of repellants. Success has been marginal until I tried this stuff. Amazing! No mice! A 16 oz bottle lasts 2 months with weekly application, so I'm saving money too.
