This is another level from quick grits, or even grits you'll get at many breakfast spots. They are delicious, reasonably priced, easy to make, fresh and good for any type of grits-dish you wish to make.

These are great stone ground GRITS. The three packages keeps the product fresher and is easier to handle than larger packages

I am spoiled by these great tasting grits. I’ll never go back to store bought. The corn is grown on a farm here in the USA and then ground up on site. Can’t get much fresher than that! I will definitely be buying more. Oh and I tried cooking them in a crock pot as another viewer suggested and they came out perfect! Put 1 cup of grits in 4 cups of water in the crockpot before you go to bed. Cook on low for 6-8 hrs and wake up to perfect grits that taste heavenly. Best part is looking at the ingredients listed on the bag. Unenriched Stone Ground Corn. That’s it. No chemicals no fillers no salt. Nothing execpt fresh ground corn from a farm called Palmetto Farms in Galivants Ferry, South Carolina. Thanks!

Excellent product. This has the flavor that's missing in the little boxes on the grocery shelves and reminds me of the days when I would go with my grandfather to the grist mill with corn he had raised and I had shelled from the corn from the corn crib. He would hook up the mule to the wagon and we would go to the old water mill and come home with freshly ground meal and grits. This is the closest I have found to that taste and it brings back precious memories of days spent with my hard-working grandfather from whom I learned so much. Just boil water and add the grits and stir on a simmer for a few minutes until soft. Grits and eggs make a hearty breakfast as well as a comforting midnight snack in cold weather.

We love these grits. We open the bags to check for quality and then keep them in the freezer to keep them fresh. Zero issues so far and love the texture very much!

I've been friends with my next door neighbors, Tim and Rhonda, for a very long time, having met first at church. About 9 years ago, I ended up moving right next door. We dine together from time to time. I like to cook and they both like to cook – she actually had a baking business for many years and just retired last year. The topic of discussion was food, as is often the case, and I mentioned my shrimp and grits recipe. I've never, ever had a single bite left when I cook it and everyone goes nuts over it. I confessed that I'm very particular about what grits I use, and with no exceptions, that's what turns everyone on, and I'd found the worlds best grits. Rhonda said she thought she had the best grits. She hauls hers back to Georgia every time they go camping in South Carolina and didn't think they could be beat. I told her mine also come from South Carolina. Yep.. Rhonda also uses Palmetto! Hey, you ain't going to beat 'em – not going to happen. Best you could ever hope for is a tie! I cook mine in ½ milk and ½ chicken broth for extra flavor and more often than not I make cheese grits when I do the shrimp and grits recipe. You can't go wrong just following the recipe on the bag. Been cooking them for years and will continue to do so. I've only had one concern which they immediately addressed, so not only are their grits the best, they obviously have it going on in their customer service department as well. You can tell from their rating and the comments what you're getting. Highly recommend!

We have ordered these from Amazon for a long while now. We LOVE these grits. They are delicious and we could never buy any other brand again. They are NON-GMO and for us, that is important. Plus, they are the best grits on the planet. The ONLY problem my husband and I noticed was, when we opened the box, it smelled like cigar smoke! We picked up the bags and smelled them, and sure enough, all three bags smelled just like cigar smoke. We thought that was odd and a little gross, to be honest! And we have never had this issue, before now. I decided to try to air them out, so I took all three bags outside and let them sit in the fresh air for several hours. When I got them in later, there was still a faint smell of cigar smoke. While it wasn't as strong as before, it was still there. To me, that is just off-putting, especially when it comes to food. I'm not sure why they have that cigar smell. I decided to really go through the reviews for this product and I did find one other reviewer who had a similar experience to us, except they said theirs smelled of very strong perfume! Again, these grits are wonderful. Best ever. We will keep buying these. We do enjoy the Prime free shipping, plus, these 3 bags of grits are a little cheaper than buying them directly from Palmetto. However, next time I order these, I will buy from a different seller on Amazon.

FIRST: these are the best grits EVER, I don't use any other brand. SECOND: I have purchased these grits for several years directly from the seller and have now purchased twice from Amazon. While Amazon is convenient (I shop here frequently) I will ALWAYS purchase directly from Palmetto going forward. They are a stellar company and honored a replacement of moldy grits received from Amazon (the freshness date is Jun 2021) that I suspect they didn't keep under refrigeration. I always purchase the 3 pack and the first two were perfect as always. The last one wasn't. Amazon said "too late for return" seller said...send me your contact info! Sometimes the most expedient solutions aren't the best one! Here's to OLD SCHOOL business practices! WTG Palmetto! you have a customer for life.
