Second, because polyester batting remains springy, it is ever ready to put some light pressure against fabric. This means that even as the fabric stretches with age (and always happens) batting will push against the fabric and keep wear-worn waves from developing. Do not believe current image of 1.5 inch. Sure you could probably pull/fluff it to get 1.5 but that is not the main purpose of product. I need to replace porch swing cushions.** A: Yes it can be layered & it would be best to attach the layers with a spray adhesive to keep them from sliding around inside the cushion and get "lumpy" & twisted. Just spray both sides (for permanent bond) lightly, let set for a couple of minutes them bond them.
