They illuminate very well in my opinion. The tool worked well enough to get everything undone. In the picture of the trunk/cargo the LED doesn't seem to illuminate as well as the regular bulb but I'm still please with how much light it does put off. Last thing I want to say is I received the the wrong bulb to do my rear license plate.
