A 10 star popper!
This is a wonderful popcorn popper. I had gotten rid of my air popper when I moved into a place with a small kitchen...I had figured I could make popcorn in paper bags in the microwave, but I never had very good luck with that. So I went to Amazon trying to find the smallest air popper I could find, and when this came up I decided to give it a try. Wow! I am so happy with the results! I can put a pat of butter in the bottom and some salt, along with popcorn, and the result is amazingly good popcorn, evenly buttered and seasoned. Don't ever buy prepackaged popcorn again...this is so much better and every bit as easy! No extra dishes for melting the butter, and I can even use the popper as the serving bowl! My popcorn setting on my microwave is a little short timed for this, so I have quite a few unpopped kernels. But I read one of the reviews that said you can just put them back in for a second popping after you have eaten the first ones, and it is true! I had only one unpopped kernel at the end of my second popping today. Or I can set the time for a little longer....I'm still experimenting for the perfect batch. I have in the past used most every kind of popcorn popper that exists....and this is by far the best there is! And it collapses so it hardly takes any space in my kitchen! I love this purchase and would give it 10 stars if they would let me!

Low-priced, efficient and easy to clean and store--thanks, Hausstil!
Easy to use, stores efficiently and makes very good popcorn. I just made my first "single" serving --amazing, it filled almost the entire bowl in less than two minutes. My microwave puts out 1000 watts and one serving cooked in one minute and 50 seconds. I waited until I could count two seconds (one one-thousand two one-thousand) between pops. Only 12 kernels were unpopped. I used inexpensive yellow popcorn kernels that I have kept in the cupboard in a closed glass jar for probably almost a year. No problem for this popper. I added about a half teaspoon of olive oil and 1/8 teaspoon of salt and the result was delicious.

This particular brand is simply the safest and best silicone popper out there!
We first purchased another silicone popper of the same type that claimed to be FDA approved nontoxic but when we received it there was nothing on the packaging that indicated it was and it certainly did not pass the pinch test. We liked the way it worked but it was always in the back of our mind that we might be ingesting some bad stuff and the whole reason we tried this type of popper in the first place was to get healthy popcorn. This popper is not only safer but the quality is far superior. It pops better with less un-popped kernels and the handles actually work with our burning your hands. You also get free recipes and a lifetime warrantee, how can you beat that. We will be purchasing more of these for gifts, knowing we are giving a safe, quality product. We received nothing for this review. Added to review: For those who are trying to get a set time for getting perfect popcorn you will be disappointed as the time varies from batch to batch and day to day as humidity and the temp of the popper and microwave vary constantly. Here in Arizona I set the 1000 watt oven to 4 minutes and listen for the popping to slow down and pull it out. It is never exactly the same and can be 30 or more seconds different but I always get perfect popcorn it just has to be a little more hands on!

Good Popper, Easy, Easy, Easy
Before purchasing this popper, several years ago, I bought the Nordic Ware microwave popper which worked very well until the lid warped (from the heat?) and the popcorn would eventual cause the lid to move to the side and popcorn kernels would pop out of the bowl. Also, the bowl would become very hot. This popper appears to have solved those problems somewhat. The design of the bowl and the lid allows for the popping corn to be kept under the lid, although the lid often does not lay flat and the popped kernels threaten to exit the bowl at the end of the process. The key is to not use too much popcorn to start. This bowl does very well with 1/4 cup of kernels heated for 2 1/2 minute on high. Any longer and the popcorn will burn. The cleaning process wasn't too difficult either, although the bowl is silicone and is soft...so does tend to need extra support as you are cleaning. The upside is that the bowl can be compacted easily for storage. I would have given this popper 5 stars if lid had been more stable during the popping process. This is a design issue.

Finally a popcorn popper that does what it is suppose to.
I just received this a couple days ago and I used regular Crisco oil and since it's two of us, I put enough corn to the second line and believe me when I tell you, the lid even came up, holding so much corn that had popped. Honestly, all but one kennel popped. I will turn the power to lower then what it is set on, as a very few pieces started to turn color and smell. But didn't ruin the flavor in the less. I am going to the grocery store and get some of the regular popcorn oil as I like the flavor of that more. So far it sure rates a 5 star all the way, as I was a little worried when I opened it for the odor, but washed it and odor was gone and the clean up is a breeze. I am going to get my granddaughter one for her dorm room and when you collapse it, so easy to store with lid right in it. Great, easy and love it. Now, I have to find some good popcorn that isn't mostly husk, terrible and I think I have tried just about I can find. Popper is great, popcorn so far, stinks.
