SH-5942-WH Heath Zenith Motion Light, White

This is the second time I purchased this security light. I am very satisfied with it that is why I purchased it again. My first one just wore out from being on the Westside of my house. Between the sun and the storms beating on it for years it just lost its sensitivity. When this one wears out which will be years from now I will just purchase another one. I am very satisfied with this Security Light.

I have 4 of these lights on my house and have had them for over 8 years. All 4 are in direct contact with the elements. I just lost one due to a storm and I was glad I was able to find an exact replacement. The light is strong, reliable and has a lot of great options on it.

Light comes on during the day, but not at night. This light only has 3 controls but setting it up has been a nightmare. I’ve been through all the troubleshooting steps. Intend to return.

I took this picture immediately after delivery. No damage to the box or packaging, but this is what I found inside. Very disappointed!

I was happy with this product while it worked. In the Fall of 2021 it began to fail with the light not coming on or coming on at a low light level. First one of the two lights went out then a few months later the other. This item does not have any replaceable parts and it is not designed for disassembly but since it needed to be replaced I did open it up. I found the problem to be in the LED array. Several of the LEDs had developed brown spots. I was expecting a greater lifetime for this product. Now without a replaceable component the whole unit is scrap. The date 2014-11-3 is clearly visible on this led array. Although I have not located my receipt for this item the earliest I could have bought it would have been in 2015. Although I only used this in the motion sensing mode the LED array lasted < 7 years
