As a PhD researcher, time has always been a somewhat limited commodity for me. Though fast food options are aplenty these days, these are clearly not the most healthy option. And preparing a healthy meal can be both time consuming and costly. Herein lies the problem: a choice between time and health (and, for me, that equals science vs. health - and I love science!). But this dilemma may finally have a solution. I first heard about 'complete foods' a few years ago, when the first (Soylent) went on sale in the US. The idea: everything a person needs to live a healthy life, in the form of a powder you simply add water to and shake. Unfortunately though, Soylent did not (and still does not) ship to Europe. Since then, a number of companies have started producing complete foods in Europe. I've tried a few (Joylent, Huel, and Queal), but none of these powdered foods were quite what I was looking for. But then came Saturo. It is a pre-made 'ready to drink' liquid food that is a game changer. I first tried it a few months ago, and now replace about 80% of my meals with it. Why? Because it tastes amazing, it is filling, it makes me feel healthier than ever before, and (importantly!) it take 5 seconds to open a bottle containing a healthy meal :-) I mostly use Saturo if I need to work late in the evening and don't have time to spare preparing a meal (the original, neutral, flavour is great for this). I do also love to have the coffee one in the morning for breakfast - it tastes like a premium latte. The chocolate one tastes like chocolate milk, though you can also put it in the microwave for about 1.5 minutes to make a lovely hot chocolate. I've also taken it travelling, as it is a wonderful source of energy when hiking. It's also vegan and gluten-free. Personally, I've been a carnivore for my entire life, and never imagined that I'd find a vegan food that tastes nicer than meat. I kid you not, I'd rather drink this than have a steak... and I can't believe I just said that. What about disadvantages? Honestly, the only one is the cost. At the current Amazon price, it is £3.45 per meal. It is a little cheaper on the Saturo website (I get mine on a subscription for about £2.50 per meal). Amazon does deliver next day though, wheras if you order from Saturo directly it takes 4-5 days to ship to the UK (from Austria). The price aside though, I can't recommend it enough. If this is the future of food, then I was sold from the very first taste.

There's a lot to love about this product. It has a decent size at 500 kcals (rather than 400 like most competitors) and the nutritional profile is very good. What surprised me most however is the amazing taste. It's hard to describe because it doesn't really taste like anything, but the flavour is very mellow and pleasant, yet neutral enough that you will never get sick of it. Milky and creamy with a hint of soy. The only downside is that Saturo is slightly on the expensive side but for the quality of the product and the taste I find it just about acceptable (assuming prices stay where they are).

These shakes have a neutral, milky flavour which I love! They are filling as well and nutritious. I don't like the tetra packs though, the seal to open is so hard and I've made messes trying to pull it off. It has been very annoying. The price also stops me from getting these more often.

Smell/taste a bit like rotten egg but better than MANA which tastes like chemicals.

But at nearly 2 pounds a bottle, I expected it to be much better.Bottle is quite flimsy as well. As a busy man, I was looking for a complete, healthy and nutritious supplement, then I found saturo. This is a superb product, it leaves you satiated, is a lovely flavour and it has a complete nutritional profile. I find it helps me so much as a meal substitute at work- as I have a demanding job in the medical field. I am able to control my calories and can take it with no rush at anytime. I recommend saturo to everyone and hope it helps you like ut has done to me.

Plenty of nutrients, vitamins, protein etc and doesn't cause intestinal disturbance but the cost is ridiculous for what it is so never, ever except once in a blue moon if someone else pays.

Was worried about the taste, but needn’t have been. They taste great AND fill you up for hours... really happy with the product.. the coffee and chocolate versions are great too... I have these for either breakfast after run or a quick lunch at work and they keep the hunger at bay for hours... Keep them chilled for better taste and drink them slowly.. I’m a convert..

faccio triathlon e mi alleno all'ora di pranzo, ho poco tempo e spesso non riesco a portarmi il pranzo da casa, saturo è una alternativa di livello poichè è molto nutriente, sazia ed è veloce da consumare. anche il sapore non mi dispiace, particolare e molto buono, oggi che ho il pranzo con me in ufficio quasi mi dispiace, ovviamente scherzo ma lo consiglio per chi ha poco tempo e non vuole sempre andare al bar a prendere tramezzini o pizzette.

Ich habe schon viel getestet - für die Situationen ohne Zeit und mit Hunger. Es soll nicht immer das miese Fastfood sein, das muss ich dann nur wieder mit Sport kompensieren. Und geniessen kann ich ohne Zeit ohnehin nicht. Saturo hat das erste Produkt dieser Art geschaffen das mir wirklich gefällt. Es schmeckt mir, es macht tatsächlich relativ satt und "glücklick" im Sinne von "du wirst zur Diva wenn du kein Snickers hast". Richtig gut gefällt mir, dass meine Verdauung dieses Produkt wirklich gut verträgt. Saturo bekommt mir perfekt - das Glück hatte ich mit meinem vergleichbaren Produkt. Wie gesund es tatsächlich ist, wer weiss das schon. Sowas kann ich nicht messen. Messbar ist der Preis, der ist ziemlich hoch. Aber so ist das wohl wenn man (meiner Meinung nach) das beste Produkt dieser Art am Markt hat.

Ich ernähre mich aus gesundheitlichen Gründen hauptsächlich von Saturo. Der alte Drink war perfekt. Gut flüssig zum Trinken, angenehm milder Geschmack leicht nach Vanille. Als dann das neue Produkt angekündigt wurde war ich sehr gespannt. Und leider bin ich ziemlich enttäuscht. Der neue Drink ist gar nicht mit dem alten vergleichbar. Dieser hier schmeckt eher wie das Pulver natur, was ich leider kaum runter bekommen habe. Bei Geschmacksproblemen wird's schwierig, wenn das Ganze penetrant schmeckt. Leider schmeckt der neue Drink sehr stark bitter, kommt wohl von der Ackerbohne. Mir hatte gerade der dezente Sojageschmack vorher sehr gut gefallen. War ähnlich wie Sojamilch. Ich konnte ein Paket so weg trinken und war gut versorgt. Der neue Drink ist dazu dickflüssiger und recht salzig. Dazu ein Geschmack wie leicht verbranntes Karamell. In meinen Augen hat sich Saturo keinen Gefallen damit getan. Ein Vorteil, da es dickflüssig ist wird man sehr schnell ziemlich satt (was es mir noch schwerer macht das Ganze zu trinken leider) Wirklich schade! Es gibt auf dem Markt nichts vergleichbares, ohne Süßstoff und extra Aroma. Obwohl hier jetzt leider auch Aroma sein ist, vllt etwas zu viel?! Mangels Alternativen werde ich mich wohl dran gewöhnen müssen und froh sein, dass Saturo den Natur Drink nicht ganz aus dem Sortiment genommen hat. Dazu kommt die Verkleinerung von 500 auf 400 ml bei deutlicher Preissteigerung. Wie gesagt mangels Alternativen werde ich dabei bleiben, solange ich das runter bekomme.
