Update: I was contacted quickly by the seller and they made it right by sending me a new lighter, which worked great. The replacement lighter filled easily with no leaks and performs as expected. Every company has a few bad items that make it to the customer, but not every company makes it right. KOLTEC made it right, and they are a standup company. This is a superb torch, and you can do a lot worse when choosing a full-size lighter. Use the adjustment carefully, as it is easy to overdo it. This lighter has some serious power. This lighter works great, when I can manage to partially refill it. The adapters that came with it form a sloppy fit, resulting in more butane venting out than going into the reservoir.

I ordered 2,one for my brother and me. He called to say easy and works well. Great lighter for lighting cigars.

It’s very nice quality, however it is very wonky to fill. They provided tips to put on the end of your butane can, but they were useless since neither of the tips fits a standard can of butane or the torch itself. Once you manage to get some butane in it however, it is a very nice and high quality torch. The flame gets very big, and I haven’t had any problems getting it to light. If filling it with butane worked a little better, it would be 5 stars.

This Torch is used daily and I have had no problems with it. It is very heavy duty and very easy to use.

My wife is a closet pyromaniac, and this torch proved to be a perfect Christmas gift. She felt empowered setting the wood in the fireplace ablaze. She thrilled at the long flame that this throws out, and she brandished the torch as though it was a light saber. The torch looks nice, feels good in your hands, and does a good job of setting things on fire.

The hand grip is a little larger than I was expecting but it’s styled for a guy - it’s fine. It’s a good style, the fuel trigger locks off for travel but when you’re where you want to use it and it’s in the on position, you don’t also have to manipulate some dumb safety feature to light something (fireplace safety lighters are the worst! You end up trying to hold one thing down and click another at the same time!). Trigger works easily and the flame height adjuster does too. Like the camo. Easy to fill - get the butane refill with the long injector spout like you would for a cigarette lighter)

This is worthless. I filled it, at least so I think because there is no way to confirm, and it shot a large, floppy flame no matter how I set the adjustment dial. It lasted for literally 6 seconds and ran out of fuel. Of course, the return window closed 3 days ago so I am stuck with a $30 piece of junk. I tried to make this work several times and got the same result every time. It even continues to burn after I have released the button.

Good sturdy lighter and decent adjustable jet flame. But filling the gas is not so good. The connectors don't fit a universal gas can and using the standard gas can connector without any additional ones (none fit this lighter) gas pours out.... so refill outside and waste a lot of gas in the process of refilling. Pity there is no way of knowing if the lighter is full of gas or not...

The product came 2-weeks earlier than anticipated. The flame is strong and visible at about 7inches. Be careful as it can still burn at 1ft away of the jet direction. The handle is made of plastic, which makes it lighter. It does feel slightly unbalanced with the weight heavier towards where the flame comes out (due to the heat material). Overall, a good quality product.
