This is a very good investment.
This is absolutely a worthwhile investment. I have a window in a small landing at the top of my stairs that traps heat. It's the hottest place in the home as light hits that window all day. I have a bedroom there as well so that that window heats up the entire bedroom even when the door is closed. After researching alot of options I chose this to try. It was easy to put up. I will link as long as you have a good squeegee. From the moment I put it up, the amount of sun steeming in dropped and so did the heat. Some reviews said that condensation would form on the inside of the window causing the seal to fail. I did mot experience any condensation, most likely because the had failed along time ago. This worked like a charm and will be Installation tip - use an exacto or a box cutter ith a new blade as the film is durable but can tear if the balde is not sharp. Use a quality squeegee. I got the 5" green one by Brand OMNANGO. The edge is fine so I could get the film into small areas. If you can put protector on your cell phone, you can do this. I will be putting it on other key windows in the future.

Worked just fine.
I bought this to obscure the windows in a storage space and it worked great and was easy to apply. I don't have any connection to the company but I'd like to address some of the complaints in the one star reviews because I look at bad reviews to make purchase decisions and some of the ones here are way off base. To the people who complained that the tools that were supposed to be included were missing... They were inside the cardboard tube the film was rolled around, one of you didn't even open the package before complaining about missing tools in a review. To the people who couldn't separate the backing sheet... If you apply a piece of tape to the backing sheet side at a corner it's fairly easy to remove – I did it and I have no fingernails to speak of. If that doesn't work apply tape to both sides and pull in opposite directions. To the people who complained that you could see through it... You both bought the "pure" color, you should have bought the "white." The description clearly says that the "pure" has "better light transmission" and the "white" has "better privacy." To the people who say it doesn't stick... Adding a few drops of dish washing soap (NOT dishwasher detergent) to the water in the spray bottle should solve your problem.

Good heat reduction!
The heat reduction in the windows is amazing! We face directly west, so the sun's rays are intense (in Florida). The window film is a little difficult to install. I had trouble getting the tiny little bubbles out (I didn't see them until after I completed the install), but I am hopeful they will dissipate over time. The window privacy film looks natural from the outside and not reflective like a mirror.

Good for privacy.
Window frosting works as intended. Let's the light pass through but obscures the view. If you're looking for a cheap fix to end a shower peep show in your apartment, this is it. If you want privacy in you million dollar home though, this will look like a cheap fix- buy factory frosted windows instead. I put it in my shower window and it's held up well for two years now. While It still adheres, it has shown signs of mildew growth around the bottom edge that gets the most water. I think of it like a shower curtain liner in that it needs replaced ever so often due to the wet environment. For windows in dry areas though, it lasts indefinitely. I put it on my half glass entry door but left a slit i can still look through, which from the outside is almost unnoticeable. If you have a removable window grid, take it out and install over the whole glass panel, then reinstall the grid.

Feeling hot, hot, hot
I got this in an attempt to help cool off the second floor of my house as I have 2 windows that get a direct hit from the afternoon sun and I live in south Texas where we are hitting 105+ high temps non-stop. I bought this in cosmic black, which according to the pics provided by the seller has a heat insulation rate of 80%. Unfortunately it did not work. As you can see, I tinted 1 window & left the other bare. Then I used an infrared thermometer to take measurements. The window that was left bare measured a temp of 93.5. The window covered in this stuff was at 106.3. This stuff increased the temp by over 10 degrees. Even when I backed further away from the window to see how it affected the area in front of the window, it was at 105.4. As a further test, I set a light colored object in front of both windows where the sun was shining in & about 5 ft from the windows. I then measured the heat of that object in front of both windows. The object was hotter when placed in front of the window with this stuff on it. If you're getting this stuff to tame the sunlight coming through your windows or help with glare, then this works great. But if your getting it to help reduce temps inside your house, try something else. I can't comment as to privacy protection as that is not something I tested for, but it is very dark on the side facing outside. Also, I measured what I got & it was over a foot shorter than what it was supposed to be. So don't expect to get the full amount advertised.

This did not stick to my 14" circular sky lights.
If you are going to try and use this on a circular skylight you might want to reconsider. All the tools were there. Very good. I followed the directions (removed the protective film) and used plenty of soapy water but it would not stick to my skylights. I'm wondering if it's because they might be made of hard plastic instead of glass. I ended up taping my cut out pieces to the outer edge of the skylight frame. I'm gone for long periods so I'll see if the tape held them up when I go back. They do block a lot of the light which is good. I hope the tape holds them up while I'm gone. I don't want my electric bill to be sky high.

Easy to install and works great!
We used this product to cover a door to our backyard. I love that the door lets in natural light, but also wanted to make sure to have some privacy as well. I couldn't be happier with how this turned out, despite some of my own minor errors (had a couple of cuts that weren't quite perfect near the edge so you can see a bit of the light in, but this is very minor). I was worried about giving this a try based on some negative reviews that said it was difficult to install, but I found that watching the video included with the instructions and making sure to use PLENTY of water helped it to go on without any bubbles. It stuck perfectly and we've had no issues with it, even when the dog goes up and paws at the door. I bought the "white" version and you can't see out or in the door really at all. It provides a lot of privacy. We did do an experiment to see how much you could see in or out at night when there is a bright light on the opposite side (such as a bright light indoors). If you are standing outdoors and there is a bright light inside, you can just barely see a bit of the shadow of someone standing very close to the door, and the further away they move, you can't see them at all. We've had this on for a little over a month now with no peeling or issues. Because of the white filter, it actually seems brighter with the natural light coming in now before with traditional transparent glass. A bonus!

Definite difference in room temp after install! Looks good, too!
100% satisfied with this product. I live in a very hot climate and although most windows have adequate shading, my kitchen window attracts the sun and makes it much hotter than most rooms. We were pleasantly surprised by the results. AND it comes with full install kit (squeegee, cutter, instructions). I'll be using on other areas of my property where it can benefit from muted impact of direct sun!

Good cover
Good cover but be careful and check your technique

There is adhesive.
Was hoping to avoid any and all adhesive residue on the windows, this won't work well for windows as it still lets in a lot of light. We were however able to make use of it for dimming a night light slightly.

Produto muito bom....entrega horrível
Entregador disse não ter ninguém em casa. Nesse, dia por motivo de saúde, a casa não ficou nenhum momento sem ninguém. Mentira descarada. Além disso, meu condomínio tem porteiro 24h/dia.

Simple and efficient
As indicated in the instruction, the more water the better. Then installation is pretty straightforward. It does reduce light and heat noticeably as promised.

Poor quality product avoid
Junk product. Really poor quality. Should be a $1 or $2 for the quality. Does not adhere well to the window.
